OMG! It’s been over an hour and I’m still saying out loud “Damn that was good!” Ku’uipo, my hubby, picked up some food for Ma, and brought me a plate home. I had the beef tips with gravy, rice, and fried okra. Someone put their foot in that pot (that’s a Southern saying 😜: it means it was damn good), because the beef was so tender and so perfectly seasoned (not too spicy thankfully)! Ku’uipo had the fried catfish and some veggies, but I was too busy stuffing my face with the beef tips to ask him about his meal. Will definitely be ordering from here again!
Great cafeteria style food. Tried the chicken & pastry. HUGE serving! Delicious and had to carry a bunch of leftovers home. Took home a brisket sandwich for later. It was outstanding! Highly recommend it when it’s on the menu!
Very good homestyle food with friendly service and great desserts.

Great food and good dining experience in a cafeteria style environment. Everything is made from scratch and cooked southern-style, which is fine by me!

I had been missing a good cafeteria and stumbled on this one in Wake Forest. If you need a big helping of good country cooking, then go! Their fried chicken is the best I’ve had in a long time.
Parking: Though the cafeteria was very busy, the ample parking lot made finding a spot very easy.
Wheelchair accessibility: The venue is pretty spacious with ample room to maneuver a wheelchair.

I booked the Magnolia room weeks ahead of time for our club's quarterly meeting. JR of Forks answered every question and delivered beyond what was promised. The food was a great value and I heard no complaints. Our room was more than adequate and even included two large screen displays that worked great for our presentations. It is remarkable to find a restaurant that still focuses on friendly service and a great value. And, they did not charge us an extra fee for use of the room, a rarity these days. We will come back!
First time visiting Forks Cafeteria in Wake Forest on Sunday with my family. The food was great and pricing was fair but who ever made that white coconut cake needs a raise. I even saw some people from Oxford. Thanks and I will see u nxt time...

Staff is mostly friendly. The gentleman at the register was very nice. The seating area is at least clean and the tables are promptly bused.
Those are the only good things about this place. We ordered beef tips, chicken, fish, mashed potatoes, okra, collards, and green beans. Pies for dessert. There was ONE edible item…the okra. Everything else was terrible.
These are all basic food items, nothing fancy. For the cost, this food should have been soooo much better. At least 75% of the food ended up in the trash.
We won’t be back. Won’t ever recommend.

I am relatively new to North Carolina and this was my first visit to Forks. The restaurant is a little stark but clean and very friendly. It is a cafeteria, but many items are semi-made-to-order. For example, my barbecue sandwich pork was chopped and my sandwich built as I watched. It was a great sandwich. I didn't even put on any of the sauces from the selection they had, although we thought the vinegar sauce was good on the collard greens. I was delighted to find they had field peas (very good). The coconut pie was very good. Large portions, friendly service, reasonable prices. Everything there is Southern home style. Maybe not the best place to take a Yankee date you're trying to impress. There were lots of families there with school age kids who were all happily eating. Me too. Adequate parking.

The Southern food they serve here can be pretty good (I had the meatloaf last time) but some of the items can be overcooked (squash). The price is very good though, I can see why people frequent this establishment.

My family and I come here quite often. The food is delicious ? and the people who serve your food are awesome. Very polite and friendly. The cashier at the end of the line he is real sweet and kind. He has often taken my tray for me b/c I have severe back issues and pain. And I can't thank him enough for his help .
