OMG! It’s been over an hour and I’m still saying out loud “Damn that was good!” \n\nKu’uipo, my hubby, picked up some food for Ma, and brought me a plate home. \n\nI had the beef tips with gravy, rice, and fried okra. Someone put their foot in that pot (that’s a Southern saying 😜: it means it was damn good), because the beef was so tender and so perfectly seasoned (not too spicy thankfully)!\n\nKu’uipo had the fried catfish and some veggies, but I was too busy...
Great cafeteria style food. Tried the chicken & pastry. HUGE serving! Delicious and had to carry a bunch of leftovers home.
Took home a brisket sandwich for later. It was outstanding! Highly recommend it when it’s on the menu!
I had been missing a good cafeteria and stumbled on this one in Wake Forest. If you need a big helping of good country cooking, then go! Their fried chicken is the best I’ve had in a long time.
Parking: Though the cafeteria was very busy, the ample parking lot made finding a spot very easy.
Wheelchair accessibility: The venue is pretty spacious with ample room to maneuver a wheelchair.
