We were there yesterday and ordered the barbecue platter with brisket ends and pork and fish and chips. I have been ill all day since eating their food. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, unless of course you like bad food. Wendy's and Burger King makes better food.

When the food isn't as good as a chain restaurant, (Longhorn) it's disappointing. When this Italian cook from NY can make better southern bbq, something's wrong. The fish and chips taste like it was Mrs. Paul's from the grocers freezer. The wings were not fresh, they were pre-cooked-- tasted old. The bbq was drenched in tomatoes bbq sauce. Too sweet. Blah... The coleslaw was good testing but very runny.

Would not recommend, I've tried this place 3 times over the years. Staff seems to be fine, food in overpriced and never satisfying. Jalapeño burger had no flavor. I won't be going back.

Greasy and unseasoned food. Customer service was nill. I was with a party of three. We all ordered seafood. There was a problem with the fries being greasy, having black fleck on them like the oil was dirty. The greasy fish was served on top of parchment paper. As we were eating the paper was dissolving and getting into our food. I asked for our server then a manager. I was eventually told by the server (after waiting 15 minutes) that my fries would not be replaced. I didn’t eat the fries. The cod fish was greasy, soggy and unseasoned. We will not be returning.

Trivia night on Tuesdays is always fun. Menu is decent but mostly bar type food.
Had a huge party of almost 20, and they made amazing arrangements, with even better service!!

I've been to Gatehouse Tavern many times in the past five years. I'm sorry to say that quality is sliding. More than once my onion rings have been presented very overcooked. Rather than golden brown they arrive very dark brown with black areas. Twice I've asked they be replaced and twice the replacement was only slightly less overcooked. I know that since the Covid debacle it's been hard to find good employees and that prices have risen due to inflation, but paying over $27 with tax and tip for the New Yorker, onion rings and an iced tea is over the top. GHT - please go back to the way you used to be!

We were regulars and used to live this place! Today, we were extremely disappointed! The quality of food has declined considerably. We ordered the doble bacon smash burger and a crispy chicken sandwich. The fries were absolutely horrible, super greasy! The fries Chickens breading kept falling off the chicken because it was so greasy!I was curious and asked the server if they had changed cooked because we used to come here all the time for top quality food! I will not be coming back!

Order the shrimp tacos with a side of broccoli. The tacos were OK but the broccoli was cold. Also ordered the hot Honey flatbread, it was OK. The middle part of the flatbread was very soggy. Service was OK. We sat in the bar area and it was dirty. She quickly wiped it but didn't really clean it well. I ordered a drink and my glass was dirty. Wasn't really impressed with this place. The ambience was nice.
