Disappointing food at this location. Coconut rice was crunchy. Tacos bland. I'm normally a big fan but this location needs some attention.
We have been going to Gonza's for a long time. The food quality seems to be slipping but it was still good. We love the overall experience and would recommend it as a good place in WF.
Normally don't have any issue with anything here, but our waitress was super slow (and it wasn't busy, food took forever and was cold when we got it. Disappointing, but we will be back, of course!
The service was phenomenal, however the food was just okay. The chips were stale and my enchiladas (Mexican Flag) were too dry and the steak was quite tough.
This was our first time at this local Wake Forest Mexican restaurant. Inside the restaurant is rather dark and macabre portraying scary masks and mannequin heads that look eerie. There was a good selection of menu items, and the waitress, Kendal, was very knowledgeable and helpful on explaining the many different choices. Service was excellent, the restaurant even had an automated food delivery robot to tables that were accessible. The food was very good; portions were the right size and attractively presented There were 5 ( two boys, three adults) in our party and the average cost per person was $30 which included the tip. We only ordered two beers. Rather expensive for Mexican food but I guess that food delivery robot expense has to be covered someway.
We go here often and love their food. El Platano is my favorite as well as Chillie Relleno, they are not your typical Mexican food but great dishes. The fajitas and quesadillas are great too.
Inside had fun and interesting decor. It was dark and had great ambiance. The temperature outdoors was just too perfect not to sit at one of the outside tables. Besides, there were dogs! The food was amazing. Although I'm stuffed, my husband would have enjoyed larger portions. They brought salsa and we ordered queso, both so good! The queso had just a little heat and the salsa was sweet. We will definitely return!
Best dinner out we've had in awhile. Great service, and the restaurant is cozy but not cramped. We love Gonza and have not had a chance to try this WF location since we moved a few years ago. Great to see the usuals on the menu, including some items that used to be on the secret menu. We'll be coming back.
Was great food and love eating here always but this visit our server seemed to have forgot about us.
Quality wasn't what I expected. Food wasn't hot . No flavor to it . Lacked some ingredients or something.

The margaritas had way too much ice and was in a regular glass not a margarita glass and just tasted like watered down limes, the burrito only had some cauliflower in it and was not worth getting a vegetarian burrito that our waitress suggested. Our friends tried to pay at the end with $100 bill and then the restaurant said they didn't have change. Meanwhile, my husband and I had paid with cash as well and they could've used the change from that, it just didn't make any sense.
Lacko Tacos were great and everything was just very good overall. Good, quick service on a Friday night!

Always good food and Nichol really cares about the customer. Staff works together very well
The food was good, but pricey. Good service considering the crowd. Very densely packed tables, very close to other customers. Nice location for other things to do in the same parking lot.
