Grandma's Diner

My husband and I visited Grandma's Diner while visiting during the Thanksgiving holiday with our family. We found this establishment to be pretty darn good! We were served well and the food was delicious and hot. I'm a stickler when it comes to cleanliness and I found the restaurant to be clean along with the bathroom. The prices were not bad which is a plus. When we visit again we will definitely stop by and grab breakfast 🙂. I give Grandma's Diner a five star rating. K.Church

Go to Grandmas diner this place is amazing the food was so delicious and our waitress was so kind she joked around this place is so heartwarming like a diner in the 90’s. If you’re looking for a place to enjoy a meal with family this is definitely the right place!! Kid friendly as well

Avoid this place. It’s a waste of money!!! My partner and I ordered 2 grandpas breakfasts which comes with a choice of pancake, waffles, or French toast, eggs, hash browns or home fries, bacon AND sausage. I ordered French toast, scrambled eggs and hash browns and my partner ordered pancakes, scrambled eggs and hash browns. They both were supposed to come with bacon AND sausage. The waitress even specified that. We got our food. My plate came with French toast, cheesy eggs (didn’t ask for that) and bacon. My partner got served a plate with cheesy eggs (didn’t ask for that), home fries (asked for hash browns) and bacon AND sausage. Waitress came back and served my partner French toast (he asked for pancakes) we simply told the waitress that he ordered a pancake and she returned to the kitchen to correct it. Note I’m still waiting for her to bring the rest of my order (hash browns and sausage). She brings the pancake out after quite some time and we almost finished what we were served and I ask if my hash browns and sausage were still coming (as they were part of the meal I was paying for) and she went back to the kitchen. She then brought me out RAW hash browns and sausage that was completely cold in the middle. I’m appalled that the kitchen would send out food that poor and that the server thought that was appropriate to serve someone. We will never be back!

I enjoyed the change of pace and I didn’t feel bad for taking my time to enjoy my meal. Everyone was very friendly and I felt like everyone was an old friend of mine even though this was my first time in! I would love to come back soon and bring more friends and family with me! The food was delicious! I wish I had taken a picture! Thank you!

BEST hidden gem in Wake Forest. New owners
(Marius and Corina) ensure you have great food, clean environment, and exceptional service. My husband and I are new to the area and have eaten there twice this week. Shout out to cook for omelets, home fries, and gravy cooked to perfection!

I'm not sure what happened here but I heard good things about this quite a while ago. We picked this place over Briggs for a change of pace and to see someone I haven't seen in months. Huge mistake! There was a reason why you could absolutely walk straight into this place at 9:00 a.m. on a Sunday morning with no waiting. There was only two other parties there. That was our first sign. We should have walked out. The waiter was very young and anxious and very nice! However, he kept coming back about every two minutes and interrupting our family time the hash browns were raw and then burned on the outside. The sausage links we were cooked but ice cold. I will say the pancakes were very good. Save yourself the trip, wait a little longer at Briggs and you will be much more satisfied. Not sure what happened to this place, but I used to hear her great things about it. Even when we got up to leave an hour later, there was still only three parties in the whole place. On a Sunday morning. I typically don't leave negative reviews. Only positive ones. However, with tip $60 for three people eating breakfast is really really ridiculous. This is a hard pass.!

I ordered veggie breakfast omelet and waffle topped with blueberries to go. To my surprise the blueberries had white mold on one. I was taken back and overheard the cook as I was waiting, say they did not have anymore blueberries… so my take is I must have received old blueberries. The veggie omelet was good but was missing the spinach that was supposed to be added. The omelet had so many green peppers, I guess that was supposed to compensate for the missing spinach. I did like the atmosphere which gave an old diner vintage feel. The manager was very nice, he opened the door for me before the scheduled open time and was nice overall. The young gentleman who took my order was very nice as well. My overall take on this diner is not what I expected as far as the food quality goes. I thought I was going to experience more of freshly made food and no precooked anything… which takes away from the family, home feel morning breakfast grandma used to make. This is my honest review and would I go back to this diner? I probably would give them another try in hopes of a different food experience.

Good breakfast fairly priced. Service was attentive

Old fashioned diner with really good burger. Onion rings were simply amazing and Jasmine, our server, was attentive without being intrusive. She did a great job.

Excellent place. Its everything you'd want from a mom and pop. The staff was nice and the food is definitely home cooking.
