Waited 20 mins. We were seated and that was it. No one asking for our drink order, nothing. I couldn't even tell who my waiter/waitress was. We walked out. One Wake Forest resident who will spend his money elsewhere.

Unbelievably terrible service! We ordered two dishes and waited over 45 minutes and STILL didn't get our food but watched several other tables who came in after us get their food. The waitress told us 25 minutes in that it would be 5 more minutes. After waiting an additional 20 minutes, we left.

We walked in and waited 5 minutes to be seated. When we requested to be seated outside we , 3 of us, evidently disrupted their rotation and were given a slight attitude. Umm ok. Anyway, we waited outside for 15 minutes and no one came and took our order or asked us anything, even though there was a table right next to us where a waitress had come a few times. So, we left. Edit: evidently it is my fault for not grabbing someone to take care of us. I didn't realize that was my job. My understanding of the restaurant protocol is ; i come in, order food and pay for the food. Everything else is your responsibility. Guess I've been doing this wrong all these years.

I've been to La Foresta numerous times over the years, and they're a genuinely good local restaurant. Friendly servers and good food make this place a solid recommendation. Definitely give their stromboli a try.

Not at all authentic Italian, they played jazz music instead of traditional Italian music. I had to leave my table to chase down the waitress for a bowl to put my clam shells in. Young waitress knew nothing about the wine list. When you order linguine, you should get a spoon to help twist it around your fork. She didn't know that. Not her fault, she was untrained. I blame the leadership.

We had a very disappointing dinner with La Foresta this evening. The majority of the staff are high school students with little experience, proving to be a challenge for the restaurant. Our waitress never once checked on us without us waving her down. We ordered a dish with pink sauce and it came out as red. When requesting a lighter sauce, the owner herself came to the table and said, "So what do you want? We won't be remaking the whole thing, I can just add a little cream." The entire experience was lackluster, and this comment from the owner made it even more disappointing. My family has been longtime fans of this quaint restaurant, but with our experience this evening, we will not be returning or recommending it.

The food is delicious! I absolutely love this restaurant but you have to be patient as the staff is not the friendliest. Trust me, it's worth the trade off, great food for less than good staff.
The food is very delicious. Italian food is one of my favorite and haven grown up in NJ where good Italian fare is easy to come by this place compared very well. The pizza is awesome and huge. The pasta dishes are great too especially the lasagna. My friend had the salmon pesto and she raved about it. Come on in if you want great Italian entrees.

Nice place, short walk from the shopping of historic downtown Wake Forest. It is a good slice of pizza. I would recommend just getting a classic cheese as the quality of the toppings weren't great (at least on the meat slice I had). Not much parking but the area around the restaurant is easily walk-able and safe. Lots of interesting shops nearby. Friendly staff. Usually busy but not crowded.

Excellant Italian dinner. I was with a friend and we shared dinners, eggplant & chicken parmesan. The waitress brought extra plates so we each could help ourselves. We added small green salads and they served yummy hot bread. The coffee cups never got empty, waitress every attentive and friendly ). The aroma when we walked in was so inviting and I look forward to eating here again.

unfortunately the poor, slow service highly outweighed quality of the food. The pizza was delicious and portions are big but the time to be waited on once seated was extensive during each step of the process from drinks, ordering, getting food to paying the tab even after giving the courtesy of calling days ahead to let them know we were bringing a group. Our pizza was boxed without even asking if we were done making us feel rushed to leave after waiting so long for service. Never have I seen such a thing . Beware they will not split portions of the bill if you share items but they don't tell you that in advance. The waitress got a much heftier tip than deserved by ensuring she added gratuity to the bill automatically. This was a one and done experience for me.

This place has never impressed me. Their food is decent but if you are personally a good home cook it is nothing special at all. The wait for your order can be long and food is often cool/thickened or incorrect. Waitstaff could be softened and refill drinks during the unnecessary long wait, maybe bring some garlic knots or something. Maybe I am missing something!!
