Spent 60 dollars for 2 large pizzas-so I was expecting something really delicious. 1 large pepperoni absolutely no flavor very bland sauce & crust (pepperoni was good). Also ordered a large margherita pizza, also no flavor & tomatoes were soggy and basil was crunchy-someone does not know how to make a margherita pizza....

We have been going to George’s for awhile now. We always enjoy our food and service . However, we ate on the patio today and it needs a deep clean. There were straws, dirty napkins, dried up leaves, receipts, food and other trash all over the patio and surrounding the front of the building in in the parking lot. If i were my first time at this establishment i would of left based on the fact of the trash.
The Hardware store side ( they share parking lot) was pristine.

I suggest you make an effort to keep the outside as clean as the inside.

This actually was my worst experience at an establishment. I ordered via slice app (around 6pm) for pickup and was notified it was complete around 645. Perfect!

Went to pick it up with my son a little after that time add and oddly the employee said it needed 10 more min. Didn’t make sense as it said in the app it was ready… but no problem.

However 745 came around and still not done - and my toddler was now losing it as we have waited for an hour for something they said was ready an hour ago. They need to eliminate the online ordering if this is how it works as waiting with a toddler in a small restaurant just won’t cut it - especially when we paid ahead. And when we complained (as we were mad) they only gave a credit for the appetizer? Most restaurants, after letting someone know their order was ready, having them prepay, and then have them wait an hour would do more to make it right?

Word of advice - stay away from online ordering specifically the slice app!

My family and I ordered three cheese steak sandwiches. When they came out, my sandwich had decent portion on meat on it, as it should. My Wife and my Son’s sandwich had almost no meat on one half, literally, with partially melted cheese. We asked them if they could remake the two sandwiches the right way. I understood them to be busy, and I assume whoever cooked our steak, cooked it all at the same time. When it was time to put the steak on the buns, when he got to the last one, he came up short. I get it, but that’s not what we deserve as paying customers. Anyhow, he( the cook) remakes the sandwiches piled with lots of meat, cool. When our bill comes, it has an $8 up charge for “extra meat”. We didn’t ask for extra meat, we just didn’t want the bread and lettuce sandwich they brought over the first time. They were busy so I’m sure he won’t care that I won’t be back. I hope your experience is better than ours, have a great year.

I had a craving for a local shop style pizza and this place did an amazing job there. All the toppings were delicious, even the italian sausage which I typically do not like.

The reason I am disappointed it's because I ordered way ahead of time (1 1/2 hours earlier) and when I got there I still had to wait 15 more minutes. Why do I have to wait when I ordered way ahead of time and the expected time for order was 50 minutes? And this is not the first time the shop has made me wait a while for my order.

If they improve that aspect and provide the food at the time they are stating they have a loyal customer because the pizza was great.

Really bummed we picked up takeout and we were missing pepperoni on a pizza we ordered.

I got delivery and I'm only about 2 mi away from the restaurant so the temperature did not impact my score. I got an Italian sub and onion ring. The onion ring was nothing special, a frozen onion ring thrown into oil. I've been looking for a homemade onion ring for about 10 years and I think I'm just going to give up lol

This is the first time I've eaten here. An Italian for me is a go to, I've tried them all around Wake Forest and most of Raleigh. George's was good however there were no spices on the sub and although they said there was oil and vinegar, I couldn't find any. They did not skimp on the toppings which was nice, it was good quality meat and bread, but it didn't really hit the mark for me.

I stopped I today 1/6/2025. Really wanted to try the pizza, but the rude gentleman working in his pajamas just ruined the experience. So we just left.

Outdated atmosphere, dirty a bit of a hole in the wall. When I called the guy said he couldn't recommend a pizza because he doesn't eat it. Food was average or below.

Pizza and pastas are fantastic!! The food is very reasonably priced and the staff is very friendly and nice. Great place to grab lunch or dinner. I generally take out and never normally sit in here, but it seems like there is plenty of seating.

Georges serves great NY style pizza and Italian-American meals at a competitive price. Their sauces are delicious, and reminiscent of NY/NJ, albeit a bit heavy on the sauces. Pizza is spot on. They are generous with toppings, including more expensive ones like roasted red peppers. They also offer family-oriented specials. One downside is that they don’t have a great dine in atmosphere, and seating is very limited.

I don't like being critical but the dish I ordered was quite a letdown. I haven't been this disappointed in a restaurant in a long time. I ordered the Chicken Marsala and it was very bland. Even the Caesar salad was lacking - just romain with croutons and a sprinkle of cheese.

We always loved the pizza at George’s but the last few times we were disappointed the crust is not the same almost like it was stale.
