Came for the gyro and left with the spicy fish sandwich. I'd get the fish again and pass on the gyro. And the tzatziki is about what you'd expect for a fast food tzatziki, unfortunately. š

I lived in the Charlotte area for a long time and absolutely LOVED Showmars! There's not one location I have been to that the food wasn't great. So I was excited to see one placed in the Wake Forest. Unfortunately the shrimp & flounder fell flat for me. Something is off & I can't describe it. It's a long way from the Queen City and it is not the same. If you've never been to where it originated you may be okay with it. But a hard pass for me.
A regular place for our family to visit. Service is outstanding with friendly and helpful folks at the order desk and, unusual for a casual, counter order, restaurant, there are staff delivering your meal and checking in on you to top off your drinks or bring you some more condiments. Menu is limited with a concentration on a few varieties of burgers, fish, and gyros. I usually don't get past the famous fish sandwich with a side of grilled zucchini. Atmosphere is spare but comfortable with tables a tiny bit lower than I like, high tops and booths all available. Outside seating is also available.

I stopped by Showmars for lunch with a friend and had a great experience from start to finish. Even though there was a small line when we arrived, the staff working the registers were quick and efficient with taking orders. I ordered the ShowMarburger with fries and a drink, and my friend got the fish and chips combo, which also came with shrimp.
We decided to dine in, and our tableāas well as the entire restaurantāwas very clean and well-kept. Our food came out quickly, fresh and hot. A young man brought our meals to the table and went above and beyond with his kindness, even offering to get us refills without us needing to ask. Truly amazing service.
The burger was cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. I do wish there had been just a few more fries, but they were fresh and tasty, and the signature Showmars sauce was so good I grabbed an extra to take home!
The atmosphere was chill, not too crowded, and overall very pleasant. Iāll definitely be coming back!
