Everything, flounder, scallops, shrimp that I have bought from Shrimpmate has always been fresh. Better than what I've bought from the stores around Raleigh. For the quality of the seafood and his price, you can't find any better without traveling to the beach!
Seen him for years, finally made the stop today.. to have fresher seafood in Wake Forest then I've had at the beach in ages was a breath of fresh air.. grouper today was to die for
Freshest seafood you can find inland, this coming from a native of eastern NC. I won’t buy shrimp anywhere else in the Raleigh/Wake Forest area. Owner is a salt-of-the-earth kind of guy. Join his email list for inventory updates and a weekly fish-themed joke. Always puts a smile on my face :)
