Shuckers Oyster Bar & Grill

Horrible place- they don't hire enough waitstaff so they can't serve you and the people working at the front are idiots.

It was our second visit in the past couple weeks. Oysters are good and I can order any amount. Very friendly staff and people. We're new to Raleigh, but we'll be regular customers.

One of the best seafood restaurants around. The hushpuppies are great, so are the crab legs but you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The service is excellent and very friendly. Sometimes there can be a long wait on but it's definitely worth it.

Went today for my birthday dinner. The food and atmosphere were amazing. The server was very nice but left us without drink refills several times. Apparently, there were two other women who were exceptionally special, but in any case, the food was amazing. I had wanted the Pecan Chipotle Trout, but they were out, so I had the chargrilled Mahi with fried okra. The hushpuppies that were brought put were perfect, crispy on the outside, and soft in the middle. My husband had the big sob. It is steamed shrimp, oysters, mussels, andoullie sausage, potatoes, corn, onions, and peppers. Everything I tried was amazing, and there was so much of it we took the rest to go.

Everything was delicious! I had a key line martini, crab stuffed mushrooms, strawberry salad, and grilled Mahi with remoulade sauce. They also serve complimentary hush puppies! Shuckers slaaaaay!!! The owner was also very sweet, we'll be back ?

This place is 5 stars all the way. We were there for dinner and they had a power outage. The whole situation was handled amazing. In addition the broiled ? oysters were fantastic. We never got our full meal so I will need to give them another shot.

Went for my wife's 65th birthday. Had a very disappointing experience. Server had to ask multiple times what drinks we ordered, what salads we ordered. Salad came without the dressing I ordered salads were put in front of us and within minutes our main course was brought to our table. I had ordered a shrimp cocktail that I was told would cost extra because it was being ordered from table not the bar and it still wasn't brought to me. I told server to take my steak back and re deliver new. My wife's salmon was overdone. Server had bad attitude. After being told 3 times the manager would come to our table he finally showed up. Chad was very apologetic and offered to correct the experience
But by now we were done with everything. I told them I didn't want my meal. He comped us for the shrimp cocktail and meals and gave us a desert to take home on him. We have been customers of shuckers for over 20 years but after this experience we will not be back.

The bar was understaffed. We waited 20 minute and the bartender took 1/2 our order, then we were moved to our table. The waiter took the second half of our drinks order. We waited. Received 1 cocktail. Waited. Received our appetizers then the rest of our drink order. On two separate occasions, servers tried to deliver someone else’s food to our table. We received our food and it was good, not exceptional. I will say that our waiter tried his best.

We have greatly enjoyed this restaurant for the past several years not the case several weeks ago. Food was over cooked and cold even the hush poppies were bad

I love the raw oysters. The reason I gave 4 stars out of 5 is because they don't offer minonette sauce for the oysters which I found disappointing. I love the minonette sauce with raw oysters. Otherwise this restaurant is a nice clean and cool ambiance for dining.
