Great staff tonight at drive-thru.
The young man at window was super helpful and even caught something they forgot to bag, before I left the parking lot.

The staff was very friendly and helpful and greeted me right away when I entered the restaurant. The service was also quick when I placed a to-go order for the Tailgate Special. However, I have to rate my overall review at 3 stars because of the chicken itself. Normally Smithfield's is known for their chicken pieces (breast, wing, thigh) being rather large compared to other restaurants, especially the breast meat. However, this day, my husband and I noticed there was barely any meat in the pieces we ordered (2 breasts, 2 wings, 4 thighs): instead, they were double coated in batter--a LOT of batter--to make the pieces appear larger. It was very noticeable when eating and we were highly disappointed the meat content was far less than what Smithfield's typically serves. When a breast is the 2/3 the size of a normal thigh and a thigh contains a nugget's worth of meat, something is definitely wrong. Furthermore, it's a shame that whomever prepared the pieces for frying would use a deceiving technique thinking customers wouldn't notice all the extra batter to compensate for the lack of meat. You could tell when eating the pieces that you're tasting more bread than meat. I've been to this location several times over the past 20+ years and have never experienced this before. On the other hand, the baked beans, cole slaw, hushpuppies, and sweet tea were delicious. Perhaps there was just a subpar batch of meat available to prepare that day; I hope in the future the meat will be back to the level of quality Smithfield's is known for. I look forward to trying them again to experience an improvement.

Food is good! The manager was great as well but I do recommend dining in person rather than using delivery service during their busy times to ensure the order is correct.

I live 30 minutes away and decided to order Smithfield for dinner for a quick meal for the family. I ordered 2 chicken and pulled pork plates with cole slaw, potato salad and hush puppies. After I completed my hour round trip I opened my bag to find they gave me some bite sized shrimp, a BBQ sandwich and Brunswick stew(never had this so I'm guessing). Smh. So now I have to make another hour round trip to get the correct order and nothing was offered for my inconvenience. So what was supposed to be a quick dinner turned into a 2 and a half hour(travel time plus time spent waiting on my food) NIGHTMARE!!!

BBQ was decent. Not very flavorful, but sauce was on the table. The quantity was very generous. Baked beans were different, in that there was pork BBQ in them. Real good hushpuppies. Chicken was good. Best sweet tea ever!
