Went and got 4 bogo rolls. $45 for the meal. When the waiter finally brought our check. The total cost displayed was $45. Not bad great price. I go next to the tip option and the tips start at 18% 20% 25% 30% or something like that. I click the 20 percent without thinking then on the next screen it says order total is ~65. I do quick math in my head… 20% of 45 is 9…not 18. i click the back button 5-6 times as the lady anxiously holds the card reader, with a vibe of lets get this over with. Im like whatever ill just talk to the lady at the front, this lady seems agitated as is. So i walk to the front and i say. The tips arnt right. Where I'm met with my waiter yelling from across the store. “ what the problem” I say to both of them, the tips not right. When i met by 2 hostile remarks of “ITS OF THE TOTAL ITS OF THE TOTAL” I'm like total of what.? The place is about to close I'm flustered and at this point have decided they bought this google review with the extra $9 tip.
I tip good enough with pour service, however we were only serviced by our waiter who received a 40% tip once. Being a young couple we expect to get subpar service compared to bigger groups as bigger groups require more attention and service. Completely understandable. The reason for the 1 star review is a combination of everything listed above the sushi is decent. Great for wake forest even. But to get little to no service, then blind sided by a broken tip menu (tried to press back a couple of times) that has the tip options as double whatever your actually spending then met with passive hostility when questioning the shady card reader was just a huge slap in the face of somewhere i just gave a 40% tip too…. Like what…? Didnt fill our waters once. Asked for our check from a different server (both our plates were clean for 7-10 minutes.) forgot to mention our waiter walked away during us ordering for i guess taking too long to decided between 2 rolls. ( no recommendations just anxious waiting from our…waiter.) rushed to order rushed to pay and rushed out (not actually rushed out). Overall it was a pleasant dinner. Without the predatory tip practice and lack of patience it would have been easily 4 stars. 40% tip to take an order bring out 2 waters and bring us the check. Laughable now. Frustrating and irritating then. Ill never go back to sushi siam and ill tell everyone i know to avoid it.
Type of place where you feel bad for ordering a water and no appetizer.

Ok food. Could be better.
They charge a higher price on the rolls so they can give you a bogo deal.

I went to eat with my family. It was our first time and was overwhelmed by the menu. The lunch menu was confusing for first timers. Server Fah was very helpful and sweet. She was very fast and I highly recommend asking her to serve you. I'll definitely go back and ask for her!

I know Thai food very well and their red curry is authentic!! This is our go to! And dining in buy one get one can’t beat it! Solid sushi as well!

This lunch portion is absolutely ridiculous. I called up and let them know this is the smallest portion of food I’ve ever gotten at a hibachi place and the lady hangs up on me.

I am extremely disappointed with my recent visit to Sushi Siam. The sushi was incredibly gamey and unpleasant, and the rice was mushy and poorly prepared. The Geisha roll was a complete letdown – it wasn’t made with the ingredients listed on the menu, and felt like a misrepresentation of what I ordered.

To make things worse, when I clearly wasn’t enjoying my food, my server/manager never once bothered to ask me why. There was absolutely no care or concern, just indifference. The overall vibe from the staff and management was one of nasty attitudes and zero hospitality.

It’s honestly sad to see how far this place has gone downhill. Sushi Siam used to be much better, but now it’s nothing but disappointment. I won’t be coming back, and I’d advise others to avoid wasting their money here.

I would not recommend going with a large group. Maybe I read it wrong on the menu, but it said 18% tip for large groups. We were charged 20% tip before any of the bogo sushi were taken off. The sushi was good and the server was nice and it wasn't busy since it was on Tuesday.

I have never in my life witnessed such unprofessional, downright disrespectful behavior in a restaurant.

I was sitting right there with my friend when her sushi came out stale, raw, and so hard it literally hurt her throat to swallow. She politely asked to return it, and instead of an apology, Jaeda T laughed. Laughed. She finally agreed to have it remade, but then it came back without shrimp… in the SHRIMP TEMPURA. My friend was understandably upset, and Jaeda just shrugged and said, “idk what you want me to do about it.”

My friend asked for a manager, and Jaeda flat-out lied, saying there wasn’t one — only for the manager to walk over two seconds later and apologize. At least the manager comped the meal, but the damage was done.

When it came time to pay for my own food, I chose not to tip because the service was so nasty and uncomfortable. That’s when Jaeda snatched the payment tablet right out of my hand, in full view of the entire restaurant, and rated the experience a perfect 10/10 for herself. My jaw hit the floor.

The whole staff was giggling, pointing, and making it blatantly obvious they were talking about us. It was humiliating, childish, and completely uncalled for. And when we asked Jaeda for her name, she refused — but there it was, clear as day on the receipt. When we pointed it out, she laughed again, this time out of embarrassment.

If you value respectful customer service and basic human decency, do not come here. And above all, beware of Jaeda T.

BEWARE OF JAEDA T. she is a scammer and so unprofessional. first of all, my sushi was served and it was all uncooked and stale and quite literally hurt my throat when i swallowed the food so i asked to return it and i was given an attitude and she laughed. i asked her to remake it and she finally asked them too without the flakes that were stale, and they didn’t give me shrimp. IN THE SHRIMP TEMPORA. i said this was ridiculous and she said “idk what you want me to do about it.” i asked to speak to the manager and she said “we don’t have one” and then the manager proceeds to come to the table .2 seconds later and apologizes and lets me get it for free. my friend was with me and paid and didn’t tip because she was very unkind and it was uncomfortable. Jaeda T then snatches the ipad thing out of my friends hand and rates the experience a 10/10 on the survey. we were flabbergasted. they don’t care and it’s a shame because i go here all the time. the whole staff was snickering and pointing and it was very weird and unfair. RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM THE STAFF, ESPECIALLY, Jaeda T (whom refused to give me her name but it showed it on the receipt… and then when we pointed it out she laughed out of embarrassment.) Beware

They offer BOGO on their rolls. However I wanted to tip 20% and they offer a button on a tablet to pick your percentage. When I got my ticket and looked outside the 20% is based off of the full price of both rolls, not on what you pay for with the BOGO. So based on the price we paid we actually ended up leaving a 40% tip and felt so much like one had gotten over on us. Slick way to get big tips without the customers knowledge. Since then I would put in a custom tip amount on the tablet to the correct 20% of what we paid. Tonight we had a large group for graduation celebration so a 20% tip is included automatically for the large group. We get the ticket without an option to change amount or put in a custom amount (unless it’s to add to the tip already put in place), and we are forced to leave what is basically a 40% tip for what we paid. Sneaky advertising and you leave feeling like you just got pick pocketed. Money isn’t so much the issue, but more that this establishment is slick and pulling something you don’t realize until you’ve got got. Beware of this on their BOGO deals. It’s not actually BOGO when it comes to their tips.

This was a random dinner selection and WOW! What a wonderful treat! We did the BOGO sushi rolls - Tempura 2 and Crunchy Special - some of the best sushi rolls we’ve ever had (and they were huge, we did not finish all of it). We also split some crab wontons (yummy) and the teriyaki chicken with white rice. It was all so so good, we also didn’t finish the teriyaki chicken and have some tasty leftovers. And then, at the last minute I saw the Thai Coconut Cake on the dessert menu… oh. My. Goodness. Talk about HEAVEN in cake form - this is some of the best cake I have ever had in my life and requested my wife get me one for my next birthday. It was thick, rich, not overwhelmingly coconut-y (if there was any downside to the cake it would be that, but my wife who doesn’t like coconut enjoyed it too!), and just incredible. I 100000% percent recommend Sushi Siam!! They had tons of other things on the menu that sounded delicious that we will be trying next time we go, and our server was very very sweet and super friendly. All around great spot!
