The pastries are good. Their cakes are horrible, I ordered my birthday cake there. The cake costs me $45.00 and the icing was unacceptable. I had to throw it away. I was not happy. I haven’t been in there since. I’ll take my business elsewhere!

This place is closed (9/28/21). There is no formal signage, but I have live in Wake Forest for over a year and have not once seen them open during business hours. I just made a wasted trip to buy birthday baked goods for a friend's birthday, don't waste your time.

The pastries here are incredible. Some of the best I’ve ever had. However, they do not have reliable hours. My wife and I drove by the other day, super excited since we live about 30 minutes away and don’t get their pastries very often. We got there around 3. Online it said they were open until 4. The sign on the door said they were open until 4. However, they were closed. I’m pretty sure this is not the only time this has happened. If they kept consistent hours, they’d easily be 5 stars.

We stopped by here on Father’s Day. Everything we tried was great. The cinnamon bun (which was really like coffee cake with cinnamon topping) was perfect. Not greasy. We also sampled a donut with vanilla icing/sprinkles, apple cider donut, cinnamon roll and coffee scone. Not a crumb was left! We’ll be coming back!

Donuts are good.. "croissant" not so much. We've tried this place a couple times.. donuts are good (some are too big compared to the filling though). Today we tried the "croissant".. it's more like some sort of sweet dough wrapped to be the shape of a croissant - like those pillsbury things. It's heavy, dense, and doughy.. I feel ripped off considering it was $10 for 2 and 1 donut.
I think this place is over priced and the quality is marginal. Cookies were dry and hard. The lemon pound cake my wife purchased was dry. She threw it away.

This place is amazing!! The selection of baked goods is fantastic - donuts, croissants, breads, scones, cakes and other delicious sweets. Everything I have tried has been great. The donuts are probably the best donuts I have ever had. They are fluffy and moist and they don't skimp on the icing or sprinkles! I used to frequent Dunkin but haven't been once since finding this hidden gem. Would highly recommend trying The Bake Shoppe!

Here at the bake shoppe they have a great assortment of baked goods, which I've tried most of, and I'd have to say what I've had so far Is delicious!! Definitely worth a try
