Came here at 7:30 pm on a Thursday night and the burger was blackened and burnt. Far beyond well done. The first thing I tasted was burnt charcoal. Burgers are easy to make and if you wouldnt eat burnt food why would you serve it to a customer?? I can and do make better at home for 1/10 of the price.

We absolutely love The Burger Shop! Growing up in Wake Forest, it’s one of our favorite nostalgic local spots that we love to hit up for lunch! The burgers are the best you’ll get in town! You can dine inside or (our favorite) outside! You HAVE to get an Orangeade to go with your burger, it’s a MUST! Don’t worry about eating too much, you can take a stroll downtown afterwards! Highly, highly recommend!

After waiting 40 minutes, I had high hopes for the burger, but what arrived was severely underwhelming. A flat top-cooked burger should explode with rich, smoky flavors, but this one barely registered on my taste buds. It was bland, with none of the boldness or juiciness you expect from this cooking method. The texture was fine, but that can’t make up for the lack of taste.
On the bright side, the French fries were a pleasant surprise—crispy, well-seasoned, and delicious. However, the fries were so small that they were difficult to eat. For the long wait and mediocre burger, the experience was not worth the time.

The best burger shop in Wake Forest and surrounding areas ran by an awesome Mom. I do not eat french fries but will make an exception every time we order them. There are so many choices to choose from when considering toppings. My hubby gets the hot dogs, and they are great. If you have never stopped by then, you are truly missing out. They have other things like the drinks to choose from, but I feel guilty enough with the burger but so worthy. Lol ? Will add pics on my next visit!

The burgers are beyond delicious and the cheese fries had the perfect cheese sauce. The orange-aid is magnificent. I will definitely be eating here again. Thank you so much for the old fashioned burgers and homestyle food. I only wish the fries were fat and crinkle cut…lol

My husband and I really enjoy The Burger Shop when it comes to a comfort meal. From the delicious lemonade, to having the owner of the establishment being a hands-on leader, we are definitely returning patrons! 10/10 recommend.
