The Empanada Factory

Maybe their menu has changed since other reviewers have visited, but they only have 1 listed vegan empanada. They have 3 more in the vegan/vegetarian section, but they all have cheese (making them vegetarian). I was not the person doing the ordering so I was unable to ask my normal million questions, so maybe the vegetarian ones can be made without cheese, but they seem kind of like a quick service place and may already have them premade. I would have loved to ask. My 3 empanadas were quite plain and had very few pieces of sweet plantain to balance out the beans and rice. The sides my husband and I ordered (yucca and sweet potato fries) were wonderful and would definitely bring me back for more sampling. The vegan empanada alone would not.

Definitely one of my favorite spots, some good empanadas. I was gone for a few years, I moved back and got me a 12 pack, got 2 extra with a deal they had. They need to bring back the chicken with rice, that was one of my favorites. They had breakfast one too with eggs that was good. Recommend this spot if you’re in the mood for an empanada.

I must confess I am in love with the empanadas. Some might think I am obsessed with the empanadas being that in a 4 weeks span I have frequent the place every week and sometimes multiple times in one week. My absolute favorite is the Chicken & Vegetable, Boric, Raleigh just to name a few. I am drawn to the establishment like a pregnant woman have serious cravings. By the summertime I am going to look like I'm pregnant. SMH

The only thing that was good was the chicken, the tostones and yuca fries were sour I guess the oil is very old and that’s why it taste like that. The empanadas were so greasy I couldn’t even eat it.

The Chicken and Beef Tacos are delicious really and the empanada was amazing. The service didn't line up with the food. I understand a busy restaurant but a little more attentiveness and organization for to go orders would have significantly enhance the experience. I will recommend for food but I hope the service improves to match that awesome food.

Normally I really like it here and the Empanadas are quite good. The last time I got an order to go, they mislabeled the order and a person with a serious allergy got food they shouldn't have. Given all the empanadas looking the same, it's a blessing they caught the mix up early. Thankfully everyone was OK. I just ask that they are more careful labeling their boxes moving forward.

I was heartbroken when they closed originally, and I am so happy they are back in the community. The empanadas are always amazing and the people are fantastic. You gotta try at least everything once!

Great fresh food and service with a smile. Got an assortment of empanadas and sauces to dip them into. I recommend the godfather and the mango habanero and the chimichurri.

The empanadas tasted good, but they were extremely greasy. The paper underneath was soaked with oil. If they can reduce the greasiness, they’d be much better

The food was ok. Came in 30 minutes before they close and was told I couldn’t dine in because they had to mop floor. Feel like this was unprofessional because a restaurant should honor the hours they have posted.

My meal did a tap dance in my mouth. I had the godfather..the spicy picodilla..the beef and cheese..Each sauce was tasty as well and I tasted 3 different sauces. Fairly priced and Fresh! Deals on Monday for a free ONE..Every BIT of worth it…NO PIC CAUSE I ATE IT ALL ..too fast

Absolutely delicious empanadas! I had the 3 pack with a mix of the Typical Cubano and the Mushroom (made vegan by having it without cheese) with the Garlic Mojo sauce with a side of Garlic Parmesan Fries (without the Parmesan)... everything was absolutely on point! Staff was kind, helpful and very accommodating! I will be back with the family!
