Food is decent but it’s definitely not what it used to be. Prices are absolutely ridiculous for the amount of food you get. $14 for an appetizer, $16 for just a barbeque plate. They are charging steakhouse prices for a takeout atmosphere.

Little Richards is just not what it used to be. I don’t ever leave reviews but this is frustrating to me. The times I have eaten here, service is okay, majority of the time, it feels like the employees don’t want to be at work. Service is usually slow when it is not busy. Food has changed tremendously, the bbq, dinner rolls and honey butter is still good to me, everything else not worth it. Take out is a completely other story. I dread it. Between the service and missing items or something wrong with the order, whether I check it before I leave and fix it or not, it is an inconvenience. Atmosphere is drab and dreary, surely a result of having low employee morale. Honestly, I wouldn’t have given 1 star at all if I didn’t have to so I could leave this review. Call me a “Karen” if you wish but I know I am not the only one with dissatisfaction from this Little Richards.

Went in 10 minutes before close and they were absolutely amazing. I appreciate you guys a lot. Food was so delicious will definitely be going back... earlier next time though.
Vegetarian options: Would be nice to see more vegetarian items, but understand it's a BBQ place.

Staff was playing too much at the register. Service was terrible. After food was brought to table we did not see out waitress until my wife walked up to counter to ask for more tea and to place a takeout order. Food was great.
This place is absolutely country charming! The service is excellent! There is a good variety of bbq to choose from. The brownies that are precut and wrapped at the register are worth every penny. The only issue I have with this place is, I like my food to come to the table steamy hot. I went there a couple of times and I was never served hot food. The flavor is there, but I hate food that feels like it has been sitting around for twenty minutes waiting for someone to order it. The second time I went there I specifically asked them to make my food steaming hot not warm. Well, it happened again. The server asked me how it was and I smiled and said "fine", because I didn't want to put a damper on my friends' lunch break. So, I just boxed it up and took it home so it could get properly heated in a microwave. I don't think I will be back. Well, maybe I will for one of those brownies!! I also love their corn fritters and onion rings... YUMMY ?!

Picked up take-out on our way back to Roanoke for dinner. Best BBQ ever!! So tender and great flavor! Also, very good cole slaw and corn fritters. Glad to have discovered Little Richard's. .
