I’ve been to several locations and eaten in and togo and I am a real fan! The chopped BBQ is as good as it gets and the hush puppies are rockstars. I’m usually on my way home to VA and get a box to go, eat the hush puppies on the way, then reheat the next day. Choose for the long list of sides that reheat well ;-)

If you can't drive to Lexington, fear not! Little Richard's got it covered! Chunky, shaved, pulled, & sliced the pork BBQ is done so nice! The Lexington style seems to be the most popular to my view but I don't eat there every night. Smoky, sweet, hot lusciousness that is the sauce!! Try the BBQ pork, beef, chicken, or ribs! Then there are night's I just feel like filling up on comfort foods. The corn fritters are like my Grandma made when I was a kid. You can make a meal with turnip greens, black--eyed-peas, baked beans, and mac & cheese! Banana pudding anyone? Or the blackberry cobbler? Oh my, I can never decide so I get one of each!

We got what I call lunch scraps. Looked and felt like it was warmed up for us under a lamp or microwave. Brisket was chewy and homemade chips were going stale. I do not recommend it for a nice dinner.
Good service, good atmosphere. I'm from Lexington and I'm not sure their signature Lexington sauce is on the money. But the food tastes good and my hush puppy order was huge, so overall good!

Got there 45 minutes b4 closing , felt rushed & food was not fully cooked. I've never had slimy fried oysters. Shrimp was barely golden brown. Was not impressed.

Service was good and professional. Restaurant is clean and roomy. My bbq spareribs were great and just to look at them would make it fall apart. A little pricey but you get your money worth. Plenty of parking near the restaurant. Try the collards and beans also.
