When you go in you have to get a menu and I then find a table yourself. Then you have to go up to the counter and place your order. They give you plastic silverware to eat with. The food is not great. The western omelette was not good. The vegetables were not chopped and they were mushy. The bacon in the omelette was four whole strips of bacon not chopped or crumbled. The plastic fork and knife I was given could not cut through the omelette and the fork prongs broke off in to my food somewhere. The hash browns are not hash browns they are fried potatoes and were over seasoned and very salty. We said something to the lady at the counter and all she said was sorry. As we were driving my friend called and asked to speak to the manager. He was very rude and yelling at her and would not listen to anything she said. We will never go back there again. Food and service stinks!! There should be an option for zero starts.

Stopped in here after checking out of the KOA and I wish I had eaten here for the 2 days camping. The food was absolutely delicious and they had the best coffee.

Excellent food at excellent prices. Youre at the beach, paying $13 for 3 eggs that are high quality and not watery, toast that is thick and well toasted, home fries that are PHENOMENAL, and bacon that is far better than most breakfast places. Im glad we stopped in, and my coffee is still hot twenty minutes after the meal. Highly recommend.

This is the first place we ate at the OBX. Simple place, take a menu, seat yourself, order at the counter and they bring it out to you. I had The Islander, which is
fresh blackened mahi topped with melted Swiss cheese and a slice of juicy grilled pineapple, lettuce and tomato on a toasted Kaiser roll. My husband had the fish and fries. All was very good with the slight exception of hubby's coleslaw, which was just ok. Really enjoyed it all and would definitely go back.

The food was okay but not great, and a bit pricey for the quality. You’re basically your own server since you order at the counter and fill your own drinks. I should’ve known better when I saw the empty parking lot. And to top it off, the silverware was plastic.

I think I had the best Reuben of my life there today. A hearty slab of real corned beef topped with some of the tastiest Sauerkraut on the planet and don't forget the melted Swiss on what appeared to be homemade rye. I can't speak to the homemade thousand Island because I don't care for it and always skip it.
