Look, honestly I don't want to say good things about this place. Not because it isn't good, the food isn't great or the atmosphere is not good. The reason I don't want to say good things, your asking yourself?
I just don't want to have to wait to get in. There is a reason I wait now and always will. This place is great. The owners will make you feel like family or close to it. The wait staff they hire, all great, very friendly, professional, they as well give the place a family feeling. Matter of fact all the staff we've had a chance to engage with just chatting or being by are all great people. All are always smiling and engaging it shows the owners do a good job taking care of their staff their, which shows in the staffs great attitude and work they do. Oh now the food, the cooks there, they can cook, great tasting food, you need it cooked a certain way, just tell them, it's that easy. I don't drink but the bar tenders they have are also helpful and pleasant to chat with. They too must do the bar thing well seems to be full or close o it every time we've been there. Yes, we are frequent flyers there, I'm not sure how many years to date, from the first time we went in just so nice we feel like we've just been going forever. Terry and Billie

Maxwell’s is my favorite restaurant in Waxhaw. The food is always solid and I’ve never had a bad meal or experience there. The staff is friendly and attentive. Takeout is excellent too. They package takeout meals properly so it’s still hot and not soggy when you get it home.

This is the best restaurant, everything is delicious the staff is friendly and efficient especially Roger, it is a little loud, fills up fast Friday nights, Saturday and Sunday.
Parking: Park in front on the street or if spots available, across the street, if no parking here then can park on the side street that is on the left facing the restaurant.

Second time here and both experiences were great - prepare to wait as only so much seating and demand is high. Excellent food, beer selections and service.
We went to Maxwell’s to celebrate my Daughter achieving Honor Roll. It was a small wait, but while waiting, my blood sugar dropped to the low 50s. The hostess and owner (Katina) jumped right in and provided me with orange juice and some chocolate candy. Our waitress (who has a nursing background), provided additional assistance and was very attentive throughout our dinner. Top notch care/service and food…You can’t beat this! Thank you Maxwell’s! My family appreciates you.

The food was good. I personally loved the wings ! The burger was tasty but I was not a fan of the bacon. I will go back again if I’m in the area . I enjoyed the Fried okra but did not like getting charged for extra sauce sides. I feel garnishes should always be free. Had to pay for extra ranch and blue cheese.

Ordered the flounder plate. Not 100% sure it was flounder. Didn't taste like flounder to me, but it was pretty good. Burger and fries were good. Potato skins and ranch were amazing! Chips and salsa was good too. Salsa is a little spicy but good. Atmosphere is pretty loud where you can barely hear yourself talk in your group of people without feeling like you're yelling.
