A family member had a food borne illness right after eating there from their fried rice. We look up their last food inspection report and found this was an issue! Look at their 6/10/2025 Food inspection report concerning rice. Guess they have not fixed it. In addition, ironically during our meal our server took a pair of our chopsticks the fell from the floor and placed it in her apron then proceeded to give it to another customer to eat with. Beautiful dining room, kind staff, but the kitchen is wildly inconsistent. We’ve ordered takeout five times: first was great, second average, third okay, and the last two were rough. Tonight was the last straw—sesame chicken, beef & broccoli, lo mein, and egg rolls. Quoted 15–20 minutes but it was bagged and ready in 9, and it tasted like it had been sitting: egg rolls stale and fried in very old oil, rice hard, lo mein soggy and over-sauced. Staff is lovely and the space is gorgeous, but quality control in the kitchen needs attention. If they tighten consistency—fresh oil, cook to order, don’t pre-sauce noodles—this place could have a line out the door.

My pickup order was incomplete. Next time I pick up my order, I will make sure everything I paid for is in the take out bag .

Went to dinner tonight with my parents and newborn as we do on a weekly basis.the food was great per usual. The waitress was one I personally have never had before. I didn’t catch her name. We were rushed as we sat down. I would appreciate the fast pace if I was in a hurry but we wanted a calm family dinner. She didn’t speak great English which is okay but her attitude was loud. I was rushed though my order and she was very annoyed we were waiting on one person to arrive. They were going to close with in an hour. Once our 4th person arrived we had already put in the order. She just plopped the food in front of one person and ran off. Then as they were closing she was rushing us out like we didn’t just spend any money there. Very rude. We asked for one last refill of water and I watched her half fill it up with sink water. Literally. Worst service I have ever had here. Pretty disappointed. It was the least happy I have ever left here. 2/5 service. Honestly awful.

This is the last time. Ming Fu has declined consistently. This last order was clearly microwaved - soggy rangoon, awful tempura shrimp and egg rolls- both tasted like chemicals. Ordered a California roll that didn’t show up, and when I called was informed that I had to take it up with door dash. Never again.

I feel like I’m family while I was at Mingfu. The atmosphere was very welcoming, I really enjoyed the staff that works there, they are all very friendly. The service was also incredible. I want to thank Taylor who was my amazing server. I would also like to take notice to Kelly the manager she was a delight to talk to. Now let’s get to the food. The food was to die for. The amount of options on the menu is insane. It took me a while to pick but I went with the Orange Chicken with fried rice and I would like to say that I’m definitely bringing it home with me. You get a lot of food for a great price. Oh I almost forgot the place is spotless, when I went into the restroom and it smelled like heaven. I would 100 percent recommend Mingfu. 10/10.

I used to love this place.. But, not lately the sushi rice is overcooked and mushy! Not as fresh tasting. Even the shrimp ? are not freshly cooked for the sushi.. New Zealand will always be the fresh and best in Charlotte..

I’m unsure how it worked this way. I was down between one “sushi/sashimi” choice to go with my maki. It was either wasabi tobiko or unagi. I checked my ticket multiple times and I for sure ordered the wasabi tobiko, and lo and behold I was given unagi. I can only think it was a substitution, and a perfect one at that. The sushi chef must be a mind reader, I enjoyed my food very much.
