Rips has changed owners. Remodel to Italian restaurant has begun. Had a very nice conversation with owner.

Rippinton's is a lovely place to meet friends and share food and drink. They serve only beer and wine for alcohol, but there's a good selection of both. The food is outstanding, as is the staff - very accommodating. The only drawback we encountered on our last visit was unnecessarily loud "background" music. It made conversation difficult. I don't recall this being a problem on earlier visits.

Very cool old, old building where you can look out on Main Street and see the inter workings of a small town. They have a number of large salads with protein that are very good. My guests enjoyed their hamburger and Specialty sandwich today as well.

Great local restaurant. Nice and courteous staff and the food is delicious and plentiful. Best for couples, families and friends.

I'm kind of a foodie so maybe the wrong person to ask. That said rippingtons is rather casual food is more of comfort food then fine dining the places quaint the service is good. I don't think I've ever been here when the place is full there are always plenty of tables whether it was for lunch or for dinner. Several other places in town are always crowded.

We love Rippington's! We eat there most every Sunday that we are in town. The food is always delicious and the service great. We consider Martin and the staff as friends and enjoy introducing our friends to Rippington's!

We were a little apprehensive at trying a restaurant that was empty when the other restaurants in town were busy. I'm so glad we stopped in. The food and service were both great. The scallop salad with mango and avocado was delicious . My husband loved his tortellini with steak and gorgonzola sauce. Our server, Kay, was very sweet. We'll be back.

This place always looks empty, but in reality they keep a steady flow. I have eaten here quite a bit and most of the time its very good. There has been a few times where the dish was not that impressive, but several times I was blown away.

Great atmosphere ! Down home cooking! You must try the french toast! Ask for Bonnie, she is an excellent server/host. Food - good! Atmosphere - Quaint! Prices - reasonable. I enjoy this restaurant....never any issues

Pasta was absolutely delicious. Gentlemen next to me commented twice on the satisfactory quality of their steaks. As a vegetarian and seafood allergic individual, they substituted out ingredients and cooked my meal separately so as to avoid issues. A woman in our party commented that she goes to Rippington's for gluten options as well. Highly recommend, especially if you require a special prepared meal in Waxhaw.

Every time my husband and I get a night with no kids this is where we go and once again it does not disappoint. The food is very good and very reasonably priced. My steak is always perfectly cooked and the scallops are to die for!!!

Really enjoy this small town feel, but great food. Offer different menu items for a change. Historic site. Has a nice atmosphere and good wait staff.
