Fun restaurant with a cool atmosphere. Had breakfast and everything was good except the hashbrowns. The hashbrowns have no taste and are bland. Everything else was pretty good.

Having been oa customer of Charlotte's Stacks for many years, it was expecting a great breakfast. But bummer ... the food was just not very good. I was so looking forward to the corned beef hash and eggs. Sadly, the corned beef hash was burnt to the point that it was undiscernable as corned beef hash. I don't understand why a cook would put it on anyone's plate, and then why would anyone serve it?Oh well ... if your goal is to get a lot of food for your money, then this is a great place to go. I may give them one more try ... perhaps my experience was not typical ... I hope that's the case.

I’ve frequented this establishment for about 15yrs. I grew up in Waxhaw and Stacks was a favorite. Every Saturday I always got the same skillet and biscuits and in my opinion they were the best. Around Jan 2023 things started going downhill. Prices jumped up and food quality fell and cleanliness dumped. What used to be the best biscuits in my opinion are now little tennis ball sized lumps as hard as a rock and the hash browns are now flavorless and undercooked. I went 3 times before writing this review to make sure it wasn’t a one time thing. I suppose all good things must come to an end and the restaurant that embodied the best of our home town is no longer worth visiting. I am so disappointed ?

We recently went to Stacks Kitchen for breakfast just to try it out and because we've heard great things about this restaurant. Stacks Kitchen is what you'd expect from a small time restaurant because it does have s small town feel and the people are very nice. The decor and atmosphere is simple, laid back and inviting.The customer service was wonderful and our waitress was very good from beginning to end. To be honest, she was the highlight of our experience. Now to the food, I ordered the Stacks LumberJack plate but substituted the pancakes for waffles which was a great choice. The reason for the three stars is because the egg whites were under cooked, no flavor, the bacon was overcooked and crispy and the biscuit was bland.The waffle was delicious, well made and the star of the breakfast. The portion size is good for the price you pay so you are getting your money's worth. Overall, I was disappointed with the food but to each their own and maybe today was just a bad day for the cook. Hopefully your experience will be better than mine.
