Ordered two salads for takeout and I arrived a few minutes later - just after opening time for them. The manager apologized when I came in and gave him my name as it would be a few more minutes - apparently he didn’t like the way the lettuce looked, sent the other employee over to the grocery store to buy some fresh. A few minutes later, the lettuce arrives and I hear him washing and chopping it and I’m out the door shortly after that. I don’t see a lot of that level of care at most chain restaurants - you tend to get what you get - but I appreciated it enough to want to say something about it.

Would’ve given 0 stars if I could. We went over an hour before close. Went through my whole order for the girl at the register to tell me it would be on wheat bread at the very end. Not a big fan of wheat but got it anyways. My boyfriend proceeded to order RIGHT after me and she told him right away that if he ordered a large it would be on wheat but the smaller sizes were available to have white bread. I then asked if there was a possibility to just get my sub made in 2 small portions so I could have white bread and she said no since I already paid. Don’t think that should’ve made a difference. Same size same ingredients just different bread. She didn’t ask her manager for help and didn’t attempt to make it right in any way. Already didn’t love the customer service from that.. but then someone was mopping the lobby and mopped right around our feet as if we were in the way. I understand you have to get closing stuff done but maybe don’t mop around my feet? Never coming back here.

Same experience as person below. The staff were polite and working hard. Sandwich wasn't my best firehouse sub I've had. Tables were dirty as well as bathrooms. Multiple drinks were out. Tried to get tea instead, but it was empty as well. They were out of many things and couldn't order online prior so I had to come in which I why I noticed these things. I'd point to management, but ownership chooses management and you're only as good as the top. This isn't the best representation of what Firehouse should and could be. Same experiences at Tunnel road. Seems to be a franchise owned probably run by the same person or people.

I was just in there, stood at the counter for a while, no hello or anything, no one acknowledged me lol left without ordering , the guys working there saw me but couldn’t care less!

Now the employees were great, the service was low because they were out of so much. To me, that spells management. The drink machine same way, out of many options. That spells poor management in my experience. Employee were polite and helpful. Just seems the quality of this facility has fallen off in the past months.
Hopefully a new manager will turn it around, until then we won't be back for a while. Sad, this one of our favorite places. Tables weren't clean, I'd rather pee outside then the bathroom, and drink area was messy too. Firehouse can do better, I know that.

I called in my order 20 minutes before arriving. Still has to wait another 30 minutes and the order was not correct. This is the second and last time I try this location.
As a retired rep from a national candy company, I have often eaten at Firehouse. Good service, fresh sandwiches! But not the Weaverville, NC location. I will not go back! Manager had a bad attitude and employees not professional!

The food is good. The service is consistently pathetic. They never have enough people to serve the lunch crowd. Expect your sandwich to take 30+ minutes.

Do NOT waste your money to eat here. Worst sub I've ever eaten. This is the third time (last time) that our order was wrong. The food was horrible. We ordered hot subs, and they were not heated. Lettuce brown. No condiments, ordered with pickle and extra pickle on side, we didn't get either. This is the last time I'll eat at this Firehouse Subs. The first time I complained to the manager over the phone, he said young kids these days just don't know how to run the equipment (sandwhich bread steamer) he said they don't put water in it. It's absolutely insane that he used that as an excuse. The next time I requested to speak to manager the person who answered the phone hung up on me Someone needs to step in and help this particular Firehouse because the food and service at this location is destroying the Firehouse Sub reputation.
