Restaurant was so packed and noisy. Tables really close together. Felt rushed. Our meals came out before we could enjoy appetizer and cocktails. We were told the rush was because a large group was coming in. Disappointed we had to hurry and not fully relax and enjoy our dinner due to others arriving after us.

Great Italian food here and wonderful to have in our small town of Weaverville! The staff is very welcoming, kind and the service is excellent. Coming here as a family, we felt at home which we really value in returning to a restaurant. The food is great and really enjoy both the pastas and dessert options they have. It’s beautiful inside as well in terms of the atmosphere. Whether you live in town, or outside of it, this is a place well worth visiting for a meal!

Don’t ever bring your children here. I have a 1 year old son that screamed one time out of excitement and got kicked out. Absolutely awful.

Way over-rated and over- priced. My wild boar rigatoni was pretty good, although the pasta needed a few more minutes in the pan. Other meals around the table were in the bland side. Water was tap water. We’ve heard it was So Wonderful. We found it to be mediocre and over- priced. The garlic rolls are Great!

The wild boar rigatoni is probably the best I’ve ever had in my life. Superb. However, sitting next to a guy that couldn’t stop talking about his wacko rightwing political conspiracy theories half the dinner was a drag. Not the restaurant’s fault, but still not the ambience we hoped to experience.

Wild boar rigatoni probably the best I've ever had. Amazing. Kind of a drag to sit next to a dude that couldn't stop talking about his whacko rightwing political conspiracy theories for half the dinner.

We live here in Weaverville. We love to dine out and visit many good restaurants in the greater Asheville area. We are quite proud of our local fine dining restaurant, Glass Onion, here in our small town. The front of the house is very well run. The staff are all professional - just the right level of attentiveness, but also natural and personal. Teenagers are great in some settings, but here, you appreciate their absence. Not only the chef but the wait staff have real experience in this business. They have a sense of flavors when providing cocktails, wine, and food. Many have worked there for years. The martinis are the best in Asheville, and the food is wonderful whether you order seafood, steak, or pasta. Lovely people, lovely provisions.

We've been eating at Glass Onion for years and never gave a review. What a treat to have such a classy restaurant in Weaverville! The food is consistently great, the waitstaff is mature and professional and so attentive and the owner/hostess just ran down the street to make sure we got our box of leftovers that we forgot tonight. Should have reviewed way before this but we consider it a treasure in our wonderful little town.

Top notch, professional but relaxed service set the tone. Very warm welcome by the entire staff. Barkeep was immediately at our table for pre-dinner cocktail selections. Cliff, our server, was very attentive without being intrusive. Salads, entrees, and shared desert were all a hit. This, our second visit, will certainly not be our last. Well done Glass Onion. Thank you.

Service and atmosphere were on point, but the food was disappointing for the price point. We were excited about the small menu featuring local produce and organic items, but sadly it just didn't live up to expectations.Caesar salad was a decent size, but needed salt. Pear & brie salad was just alright, but nothing special. The entrees were pretty disappointing. I ordered the wild boar bolognese with gluten-free pasta. The pasta was very undercooked (mind you, it's a $3 upcharge for GF pasta) but the sauce had a nice flavor. My boyfriend had the gnocchi with rabbit, and the gnocchi was also undercooked. Again, decent flavor on the sauce, but both dishes were not very generous on meat.Overall, this meal was overpriced for the quality we received. They have the right idea with the concept and the vibe, but could use better execution in the kitchen.

The food was outstanding. The beet and pear salad was amazing. The special, pork chops with mashed potatoes, was tender and flavorable. And our server Kendall, was courteous, professional, and efficient. In fact, everyone there was really nice.

First time at Glass Onion. Excellent food & service. Bartender provided a great and reasonable wine recommendation with our meal choices. We both had the specials and both were delicious. We sat at the bar and it was very quiet and comfortable. Concluded our meal with the Coconut Cake which was so delicious. Will definitely return when we are back in the area again.

A little disappointed, got a seafood cake, with scallops, shrimp and salmon. No distinguishable flavor, and rather bland. The potato leek soup was ok, a little watery.
