Been a member here for two years. It was a great spot for a good year or so. All of the staff changed at one point. Most of the regulars left around then. It’s been okay since. Two of the current employees clearly don’t really like dogs. One of them asked my friend what breed of dog he had, and when my friend answered, the employee said “are you sure there’s no a**h*le in there?”Beers are $7-9. Basically no perks. Membership itself is expensive. Will continue to come here until another better option pops up nearby, which I’m sure is only a matter of time.

Absolutely loved it at wagbar today. I didn’t even take my dogs and it was such a great experience just vibing at the bar and watching the dogs run around. Everyone was so chill and relaxed. I will definitely go again with or without my dog.

The Wag Bar was an awesome place for us to explore while in town from Myrtle Beach with our fur baby, even tho a pupper got our sandwich (our fault, lol). We are extremely hopeful to have one, or more, in Myrtle soon! ? awesome concept and so welcoming!

Excellent place to let your dog get his groove on and a place to meet new friends. The staff is great and I feel secure knowing that every doggy has had his/her/their shots.

My dog got an upper respiratory virus after visiting Wagbar. He was very sick for several weeks. I've spoken to other people who had the same problem. This is an issue that should be addressed. This virus is very contagious and can lead to pneumonia and or death. This place is a free for all. It's not worth going to a place that doesn't pay attention to this type of problem. I just ran into a friend in downtown Weaverville, who told me to never go to the wag bar. She had the same issue as I did. Her little corgi almost died because the virus turned into pneumonia. She, like myself, is 100% sure that's where her dog contracted the virus. Neither of us had been anywhere else around dogs.

Amazing bar if you have dogs. This is a fenced in area to bring your dogs and enjoy an adult beverage stage. The area is fenced in and dogs run off leash and play with other dogs. No kids allowed. All dogs must have updated vaccines of rabies, bordetella, and distemper. $10 per dog per day. They offer snacks at bar and have a food truck off to the side. Parking is free in an area outside the establishment. If you have a friend dog, this is a must! Great place! Also has a dog wash station.

Just please be very careful taking your dog here, especially if it’s good natured. We really wanted to love this place but after several experiences with aggressive dogs and staff not doing anything about it, we can no longer support this establishment. Our interactions with the staff were mostly great, and of course, there are some very sweet dogs and owners who frequent this bar. But overall our experiences were extremely stressful, as we became more and more worried for the well-being of our sweet dog, who could’ve easily been attacked and traumatized by several dogs here if we hadn’t been intervening so often. It really is such a shame that this kind of behavior is tolerated by both the owners of these dogs and the owners of Wagbar. Hopefully more will be done in the future to address this issue so these sweet pups can stay safe!

Excellent! I've been to a few dog park bars throughout the country and this one was easily one of the better ones. Its just the right amount of space for the dogos, great selection of beer and drinks, friendly bartender, and this was on a freezing day... I'm sure on a nice day its even better.

A safe place for your dog as all dogs show proof of vaccination and unruly dogs are asked to leave. Memberships available.

We are in the midst of a holiday road-trip with our girls, coming from a very dog-friendly St. Pete. We knew we had to stop at Wagbar, and it did not disappoint. The staff is incredibly friendly, balancing a careful eye to dog safety along with kindness and plenty of belly rubs. Kye and Mango send their thanks!Dog-friendliness: Just as much for dogs as people.

What a wonderful spot to bring your hound and socialize yourself and your pet. Great atmosphere. Even if you just want to get a canine fix and are currently without one,all are welcome.

Took my 6 month old shelter puppy I adopted 1 week ago to Wagbar for the first time tonight! Bought the day pass for this first try, but are definitely buying the annual pass! This is the GREATEST place EVER for off leash play & fun for the humans too! I had heard great things about this place for a couple years now from friends, but it exceeded our expectations by 1,000% Even if you’re just visiting Asheville or passing through town with your dog…this is a MUST STOP! Thank you to all the employees & other doggie owners that made our first visit SO FUN!!!! We’ll see ya again tomorrow!!!! ?❤️?Playground: The play area is fenced in and has lots of “obstacles” for your dog to play on. Even though it’s off-leash….it’s easy to sit away with other humans while your pup plays with tons of others doggies while still being able to keep an eye on your dog. Also, no need to bring a water bowl….there are several provided. I read on the website that toys weren’t allowed, but I missed the part about treats not being allowed. Once I gave my pup a treat I was surrounded by dogs and had to go out put my treats in my car. I had no problem doing that, but thought it was good to let people know before going! Don’t forget to clean up after your dog when it goes potty! Bags are provided if you don’t have some of your own!Restrooms: Don’t forget to clean up after your dog! Plenty of trash cans and bags available if you forgot yours! Human bathrooms are clean and easily accessible!Picnic area: They had a yummy food truck for humans! Plus plenty of high top tables along with picnic tables!
