Nice hole in the wall oyster bar. Food was delicious service was awesome. Fun times had. Good Cold beer selection, great atmosphere wirh lots of good people.

A genuine good old fashioned no frills oyster bar. Communal seating around a u shaped bar. Order oysters (raw or steamed), scallops, shrimp, crab legs etc. Everything steamed. Loved the broccoli W chease starter. Everything delicious. Very friendly servers/shuckers. Good value, good times. Honestly, the people could not have been nicer. Try a red rooster if you dare, I did, it was awesome! Thx Malcom!

This is a place that hides in plain sight. I have never been to a place like this, very unique but a lot of fun. Cute grandma type hostess was a blast and we were seated immediately. They offer a very unique free starter: Saltines and warm housemade cocktail sauce. The will give you some horseradish too, if you want some. That's a first for me. The cocktail sauce was really good, and to be honest, I have never had cocktail sauce any warmer than room temp, so that was also a new one. The menu is pretty limited but what they do offer is very very good. The wait staff is excellent at describing the meno offerings and is excellent at explaining the different doneness levels of their oysters. We both started with steamed broccoli with cheese for an appetizer. It was delicious amd super fresh. They are happy to refill your drinks, cocktail sauce, and saltines all the time. They also provide unlimited warm clarified butter. I ordered the 1lb scallops dinner and they were AMAZING! OMG! If I'm going to be near the coast, I'm going to get seafood. The scallops were soooooo good. Even the leftovers the next day were as delicious as they were fresh out of the kitchen. The atmosphere was very friendly and casual. If you are in Williamston, definitely give this place a try. You won't be sorry smile ☺️

Traditional oyster bar. Sit at the ubar and be served oysters from expert shuckers. Or get crab legs or other seafood in quantity. Fun and very casual. Get there when they open to avoid having to wait for other groups to finish dinner.

Not open at 5:30 on Tuesday, but sign on door says it is supposed to be. No cars in parking lot with a few lights on inside ??? No answer when called.

Imagine being taken back in time to the 1930s to an old time oyster bar, with no frills, but wonderful fresh, local seafood and the best service you’ve ever had. This is Sunny Side Oyster Bar!

This place is an institution, having started business in the 1930s. We took some friends from WV there. As they stood outside, waiting for Sunny Side to open, they wondered if I were crazy taking them there. Leaving, they apologized to me and said it was the best seafood they’ve ever had!

Maryland Oysters the size of golf balls. Scallops any way but fried. Crab legs steamed perfectly. Very accommodating staff. One caveat-Shrimp (very tiny) looked like it came from a bag.
Put it on your bucket list.

Friendly staff, and the best oysters!

Had an amazing meal here with family and friends. My 7 year old’s first time trying oysters and he loved it. Staff were warm and welcoming. Will be back soon!
