If you're looking for a warm, inviting cafe that serves up comfort food with a gourmet twist, this spot absolutely delivers. With a relaxed atmosphere. a thoughtful menu, and standout specialty drinks, it's the kind of place that quickly becomes a favorite.
The atmosphere, from the moment you walk in, the cozy ambiance sets the tone. Soft lighting and a friendly buzz of conversation create the perfect environment to settle in---whether you're starting your day or pausing for a well earned lunch break. I highly recommend getting the Chef's breakfast bowl it's the star of the morning. A fluffy biscuit with egg then blanketed in rich, savory sausage gravy. The combination is indulgent in the best way----comforting, hearty, and full of flavor. I went with the side of hashbrown casserole and it went perfectly with the main dish. It was crispy on the edges, nice creamy center, and totally satisfying. For my drink i went with a White chocolate blueberry latte it was a pleasant surprise. Smooth, creamy white chocolate balances by the pop of real blueberry flavor made for a drink that's sweet, sophisticated, and totally unique. Service was top notch genuine, friendly, and attentive without hovering. The staff seem to take real pride in what they are serving, and it shows in both the food and the experience

We brought our family from out of town here this morning. Their food is delicious, the esthetic is beautiful, the staff is friendly. The owner brought a distraction to the table for our granddaughter while we waited for our food. (It wasn’t long but she is 2 so she was antsy) Everyone, even the children enjoyed their food. My favorite drink is the lavender lemonade! And I loved Pete’s chicken salad sandwich, with the cucumbers. We will be returning as much as we can!

Best breakfast date! Today we stopped in after a recommendation and it was well worth it. I ordered a caramel honey iced latte to go which was amazing! For food we had the breakfast crunch wrap with fruit and the avocado toast with smoked salmon and the home fried potatoes. Everything was so delicious and the presentation was great. The atmosphere of this place was so cute and cozy as well. We will definitely be back again!

Meating Grounds Café in Greenville, NC, exceeded all my expectations during my recent visit. Normally, I rarely dine out due to concerns over harmful ingredients and the hassle of endless questions, but this spot felt like a breath of fresh air. The team at Meating Grounds Café shares a philosophy similar to ours at Jack & Juice: a commitment to using high-quality, healthy ingredients that don’t compromise on flavor or a genuine dining experience. The burger and fries were simply phenomenal—a true testament to the café’s dedication to quality. I also had the pleasure of trying their unique Ruben, which was absolutely amazing. Their special twist on the classic—with their own sourdough rye and perfectly seasoned corned beef—sets it apart as a one-of-a-kind creation. The overall atmosphere of the café is natural and thoughtfully done, making it not just a meal, but an experience. And if you’re looking for something to sip on, I highly recommend the Cloud 9 drink—it perfectly complements the meal and rounds out the experience. All in all, I’d give Meating Grounds Café a solid 10/10. Whether you’re a foodie seeking innovative dishes made with top-notch ingredients or simply someone who values transparency and quality in every bite, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

Beautiful gem of a café with a great atmosphere. Friendly staff, fast service. No rush or fuss. I tried the Chef's bowl, wife had Shainas Avocado. Friends had Rubuen sandwich and Belgian waffles. Great food and a great experience overall. Sorry, no food pics. I was hungry lol

I recently visited Meating Ground Cafe and was absolutely blown away! The dirty chai latte, was perfectly spiced and had a delightful creaminess. The highlight was definitely the grassfed cheeseburger on a homemade sourdough bun. It was incredibly juicy, fresh and flavorful, cooked to perfection, and paired wonderfully with french fries fried in tallow. Honestly, I can say it was the best burger and fries I have ever had!

If you're in the area, you must stop in. I can't recommend it enough! 10/10!
