Worth the drive from Greenville for the BBQ turkey. Friendly staff, great food. And they had early bird special! Love this local business!
The staff was friendly and the meal was great.
The ribs were so tender they fell off the bones and also had a good taste. Owner and staff were very friendly.
Poppy's is amazing. The burnt ends are fantastic with great seasoning. The service is great.
As a transplanted Texan 20 years ago to North Carolina I went through withdrawls for lack of barbecue brisket. This place when I walked inside smells so wonderful it almost made me high. Excellent Beef BBQ!
Love the atmosphere! Owner Phillip Bryant is very accommodating and makes sure his customers are satisfied….Love it so much my husband and I drive 30 miles to enjoy the awesome food.
The Smell that hit my Nose the moment I opened the door brought back memories from my childhood. I had the brisket and smoked sausage. DELICIOUS!!! Cant wait to try some other menu items.
Food and service was excellent! Brisket is awesome. Really liked the vinegar sauce. I will return to try more!!!!

Minor mess up with the order no big deal. Just really unimpressive food all around. Very odd taste with the Smoked Meats also I'm not quite sure what that's coming from.

It's pretty expensive and I hoped the quality was going to be there but it seems the best thing we got was the brisket sandwich which was good. We got burnt ends the brunswick stew and the mac and cheese. The brunswick stew was bland all the meat was dry that was in the railroad platter. we were hoping the brunswick stew would at least be good so we could get some closer to home than lasker. I saw in a previous response they only have one full time cook so I'm sure its hard to keep up but for the price it just isn't worth it to go back.
I got a 1/2 rack of pork ribs with 2 sides , and everything was amazing! The ribs were seasoned and cooked just right! The collards and dirty rice was just right! I'm so happy Poppys smokehouse came to Chocowinity , we needed a restaurant like this !
All around...Awesome Sammich and the Lb I took home is Awesome Smoked
