if I could rate it zero stars I would. Walking in, the atmosphere is cute and cozy, but the staff and food are anything but great. My hoop biscuit was dry and overcooked and my side of "fresh" fruit was mushy should've been thrown out long ago. The young lady who served me at the register was polite but still being trained so it took a while to get my order in but that wasn't the part of my visit that bothered me. While here I also saw a shorter, older woman, who I assume to be the manager, treating her staff with so much disrespect, it appalled me. Their staff seems to be made up primarily of young men and women, so as a mother this especially got me going. If you want to support ethical and quality businesses, don't waste your money here!

Now that’s an omelet! You can also ask for hot sauce! Great place to bring a few friends and study or meet for business. A little soft jazz or lofi would be nice when the day slows down so you can’t hear neighboring conversations.

The service was excellent, there was some confusion not getting chocolate chips in my pancakes (you are never to old for chocolate chip pancakes) but the employees were very kind and quick to fix the issue. The pancakes were delicious, with and without the chocolate chips. They had great texture and flavor, a delightful slight crisp on the exterior but nice and fluffy on the inside. Great experience and a great breakfast!

I saw the great reviews on line, the atmosphere seemed very relaxing and inviting, and decided to grab a drink and grits before my class I was in town taking over the weekend. I really wanted to like this place as I love locally owned, small businesses and patronize them when I travel. I knew I was in trouble when I asked the young (appeared high school age) woman who waited on me if they brewed their own iced tea and she said 'sort of', and it took another young woman to finally answer the question. It was about 8:30 on 1.13.24, there were a lot of people in the restaurant, but I was the only one in the ordering line. I ordered an iced tea, and grits bowl. I was given my tea and numbered tag and took a seat near the wall; two ladies which I later found out were managers were sitting at the table next to the wall next to me. I watched staff carrying out some other customer's food to their table with absolutely no hurry or urgency. Not much food seemed to be leaving the kitchen at all. After :15 I asked one of these staff returning to the kitchen if they could check on my order as I would not think iced tea and grits should take that long. She never returned to tell me the status of my food. After another :10, and I was pressed for time now, I went to the cashier counter with my number and asked them to check on my food. They took my number and said they would check on it. I told them I did not have time to eat it there and to now make it to go. I waited another 5-10 minutes when I was finally handed my food. The number on the receipt for the order was not the same number I had been given when I ordered. When I ate the grits, cheese and bacon, it was very bland and had no flavor at all. I was extremely disappointed and will not come back here. I know restaurants have had difficulties over the last few years as I am from a restaurant family, but this is no way to run a business. I told all my classmates about my experience here and just do not see why there are such great reviews for this place.I tried to call you at your request, but the phone mailbox was full and I could not leave a message. I didn't not call the other number as I will not chase you down. My number was the 703 ac on Feb 20th. You are welcome to contact me.

Hoop cheese biscuit, sweet potato cheesesteak biscuit, cheesy grits.. all so fresh and so good. This was an incredible little find for breakfast before leaving for the airport. This cafe was quite pleasant. The coffee was also so good. That sweet heat packs a spicy punch and the hot bourbon caramel butter pecan was pleasant. Definitely worth checking out.

Food came out bit by bit and we had to repeatedly get up to check on parts of our order.

Food is very bland most times (depending on who is cooking) and lack consistency. They are always out of bakery items. Service can be slow at times. It is a hit or miss type of restaurant.

Called for nearly an hour, no response. Drove over and was put on hold at the window before I could order.

Excellent food and service when I visited recently. The biscuit was very good. The gravy was very heavy on the peppery side. It was good though.

Stopped in yesterday with my daughter for a daddy daughter breakfast date, would have been our first visit. Nice space, very cozy, menu looked good. We walked up and were warmly greeted by a lady that walked off to the back, I assume she is the owner or manager. When we walked up to order, two younger people working the register area continuously walked by us without acknowledging us while carrying one bag of food around between the two of them that never seemed to find a home. No one else was waiting to order, but a lady waiting on food did ask if the order they were running around with was for her, they ignored her completely and disappreared to the back. This went on for maybe 6 or 7 minutes, long enough to make me feel pretty awkward and unwelcome just standing at the register. Any form of "we will be right with you" would have been sufficient but there was literally no reason to ignore us for that long even if they had spoken to us. I am not sure if it was almost closing time or what, it was around 1030 am. With it obvious that the staff were actively avoiding us, we left and went next door to check out the Asian market before heading to Bojangles to get some food. I gave two stars because the person in charge that spoke when we walked in was super friendly and the biscuits on the menu looked tasty.
