Solid food. Friendly waitstaff. This was easily an above average American breakfast diner with consistent, well-done branding. Being near the beach makes all the food taste better. The french fries were breaded and delicious (to the sorrow of my gluten free-MIL). Latte was well done and pretty. I got a breakfast sandwich (BEC on brioche) which was solid - wish the cheese was melted though.

1st time visiting Drift in Wrightsville had one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've had in a long time. Very busy but staff was super accommodating and pleasant. Will be back

The location of this breakfast spot is really wonderful. The food was not up to par, but the coffee and the waitstaff were great. I think next time we will choose a pastry.

*5/5 Stars*
We just had the most amazing breakfast experience at Drift. Our server, Jessica, was absolutely fantastic - friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu.
The food was incredible! The flavors were bold and delicious, and we couldn't get enough!
What really impressed us was the speed of service. Despite the cafe being busy, Jessica had our orders out quickly, and she checked in on us regularly to ensure we had everything we needed.
Overall, we were thoroughly impressed with the quality of food, service, and atmosphere. If you're looking for a great breakfast spot, look no further! We'll definitely be back.
*Highly recommended!*
P.S. Jessica, thank you for the excellent service - you're a star!

The Drift has to drift away !!! . The food is good ,but the service as far as ordering take out is no good . On two separate occasions I went into the establishment to place a take out order and they turned me away stating they were to busy ,but if I placed an order on line they would fill it. There were plenty of tables available to boot !!! Please fix this !!!! God Bless
Have been told 2 different times we couldn't place an order for breakfast. There were tables available but they claim to be to busy to do a to go order. Great food if you can get them to serve you. After being turned away 2 times we will just go to bluewater restaurant or dockside restaurant. Hope this helps and God bless you!
We had a wonderful family dining experience for brunch at 9 AM. The service was friendly and quick. The orders were accurate and the quality and quantity of food was great. Highly recommend!

Cool place. The vibe is totally east coast. The food unfortunately just didn't do it for me. Not bad at all but we drove 30 minutes just to have the chicken breakfast sandwich (my daughter is very pregnant and insisted on trying it) and we were very disappointed. It was very over cooked almost on the verge of being burnt. I recieved a salad that hadn't been dressed and my dish was undercooked.
The staff was friendly and helpful. They were very busy

These pancakes were a disgrace. Dry, dense, and flavorless, like someone tried to reinvent drywall as food. The pulled pork? A soggy, bland mess that somehow managed to taste like wet cardboard with sadness sprinkled on top. And the orange juice? Straight from a warm Tropicana carton…. might as well have chewed on the box. Nothing about this breakfast said “made with care.” If this was their best effort, I’d hate to see their worst. Hard pass.

I was pleasantly surprised by my experience here. I do agree with some people about the seating arrangements being “tight,” however the food and service was excellent. Our waiter was very attentive and was willing to accommodate a very testy 3 year old’s demands. Typically when I order a pancake stack I expect it to be drenched in sugar (a guilty pleasure) however the strawberry pancake stack subverted my expectations. I would akin the pancakes to be closer to cornbread which was a welcome relief from the typical experience. The breakfast burrito was also top notch, and that is coming from a breakfast burrito connoisseur. Overall I would highly recommend Drift.

The workers there seemed very short with us and I get they may have had a long day but it was around noon and we just wanted just drinks and to them it seemed like a out of this world request, I got a vanilla latte and it literally just tasted like coffee with milk, I haven’t tried their food but if they’re putting the effort and energy like they did with the drinks I would not recommend
