Chef Em knocked it out of the park with our brunch today! True to her roots, she prepared Maryland crab cakes that won the approval of a whole group of Marylanders. The French toast and biscuits and gravy were equally as impressive. We can’t wait to come back to try dinner!

This place is a very nice seafood restaurant. The catch of the day was fresh and delicious, and the appetizers were portioned to share with friends/family. Their convenient location near the beach makes this place a nice reprieve from the summer sand & sun!

This is the Best Restaurant in Wrightsville, Wilmington, hell, maybe anywhere.
I have several food allergies and they were so receptive and willing to accommodate my needs. Even better, they already were. No seed oils at this restaurant! Onto the food….omg….i just cannot even describe. I was like a small child closing my eyes and making humming sounds with every bite of the scallops and lemon risotto. Risotto is not easy. It takes practice to make it correctly. Lots of practice. And they have it down!! The Buratta salad was perfection. Fresh arugula, heirlooms and perfect balsamic. I cannot eat egg. Do you know how miserable it is to see perfect, gorgeous desserts and never get a bite? Not here! Bundt cake with chocolate ganache, egg free!! With delicate cream.
Just do yourself a favor and eat here. You deserve at least one good meal in your lifetime and at King Neptune, Wrightsville Beach is where you will find it. (Not into seafood, they have beef).

This place is a gem. It’s a bit pricey but the food quality and pairings really make it seem like a value. The kids meals were HUGE and my kids really enjoyed what they ordered (they all got the chicken Alfredo). My husband and I split a salad and the fish market meal (I can’t remember the full name of it) but it was really really great. We were seated on the pirate side and we thought it was so fun and really added to the overall experience. Service was excellent and they were very accommodating to my gluten free needs. Presentation of the food is stunning. Highly recommend and will definitely be back for more.

Very load, so noisy you can't hold a conversation without everyone around hearing. This was in the dining room. I throught it was the bar. The cream of crab soup was water, not creamy. Too much sherry, couldn't taste the crab. Ordered the filet and oysters. The filet was requested med-rare. It was over cooked above medium, very tough. Only 1 oyster was plated. It too was over cooked. I ate at another restaurant the night before one the other side of the bridge. I paid half as much for over a dozen fried oysters and french fries. These were cooked perfectly. They were plump and moist.

My car broke down in their parking lot, and the two parking attendants I encountered were absolutely amazing. They helped me, reassured me, and allowed me to stay parked there until my partner could come rescue me with a trailer. I can not express how grateful I am!

Excellent choice! The restaurant is very conveniently located in the heart of Wrightsville Beach. It is very well appointed and the ambiance is excellent. Great seafood - I ordered a catch of the day which was Golden North Carolina tilefish. Grilled to perfection. Highly recommend this place while in the beautiful Wrightsville Beach.

Delicious fresh crab cakes! Loved the local microbrews, too. Kate took care of us and she was lovely!

We've been coming to Wrightsville Beach for more than 10 years and our dinner at King Neptune was the best dinner we've had on the island. Everything, the apps, entres, and desserts were fantastic. Also, we love that they are health conscious and don't use seed oils. All 10 of us loved our dinner and overall experience.

For the prices on the menu I was expecting a much better meal than what I got. The scallops and steaks very not very flavorful and the potatoes tasted like freezer. I was also underwhelmed by the portion sizes.

I had the catch od the day, tilefish. The food wasn't bad. I liked the seasoning, but it was a tad overcooked. Overall, the dish was boring. Just plain white rice with a hint of coconut milk. For the price point and the ratings, I expected more flavor.

King Neptune is still a great place to go for dining at Wrightsville Beach. The place is almost 80 years old but has been through a recent renovation. The specialty, of course, is seafood, but there are plenty of other options on the menu as well. King Neptune is also one of the few places at Wrightsville Beach where you can get free parking (although the parking lot does fill up during peak periods).
