Upon entry Hostess stated it was 1.5 hr wait, then seconds later a man ask my husband where we would like to be seated. (which gave me the impression that the hostess told me a flat out lie about the wait time) - THE FOOD - was VERY UNDERWHELMING to say the least. Ordered gumbo, calamari (which was room temp and greesy) , crab dip, salmon, shrimp scampi-- 115 bucks of mediocre food with an unwelcoming atmosphere -- our waiter was decent and the crab dip was decent.

My wife had the fish sandwich which had a small piece of fish in the middle of a bun. She cut most of the bun away so it made it like a half sandwich. I had shrimp scampi that was the worst I have ever had. Pasta was way over cooked, only 4 shrimp, no garlic or wine taste and swimming in lemon and butter. No bread with it and small portion for $26. Unbelievable!!! Told the waitress and she couldn't have cared less. This place has gone down hill. They don't care because they are the only place down on that end.

Good food and a great view. All the food was good sizes EXCEPT the fish sandwich. It is one skinny fish stick on a bun. The tacos were good and tuna nachos but just dint get the fish sandwich. $16 for half of a sandwich

We visited Oceanic on a chilly night, so we cozied up inside—and honestly, it was perfect. Warm, welcoming, and still just steps from the ocean.
I ordered the mahi‑mahi tacos and they were unbelievably good. Fresh, flavorful, and the kind of delicious that makes you do a happy little chair dance.
The staff was just as wonderful. Everyone was friendly, upbeat, and made us feel like we were longtime regulars instead of first‑timers.
Even with the cold outside, the whole place had this warm, happy energy that made the night feel special.
Between the great food, the friendly team, and that iconic pier setting, Oceanic totally won me over. Can’t wait to come back—maybe next time when it’s warm enough to sit outside!

We had a great meal at Oceanic in Wrightsville Beach yesterday. We had the Parmesan Crispy Oysters, She-Crab Soup, Caesar Salad and Crystal Pier Salad. Our Server, Sarah C, was very friendly and attentive during our time there. We wished we lived closer than the 2 hours we live from here, but we do enjoy coming here when we get the chance.
Greeted at the door by the General Manager who escorted us to our table on the 2nd floor. Our order was taken and quickly served. Wait staff were pleasant and the food was spectacular! Will definitely dine here again!!

Dined on 5 December for our 44th Anniversary. Our first visit while staying at Holiday Inn Lumina. The food was spectacular and they treated us to a complimentary glass of champagne and cheesecake. Jason was unbelievable with his quality of service and knowledge of the menu and what was in each dish. Highly recommended!!!
