South Beach Grill

As locals who live on the island, we’ve been to South Beach Grill before, but our recent visit was incredibly disappointing. We started with a Caesar salad that never arrived. We had to remind our server after the entrées were brought out, and when the salad finally did come, it was drenched in dressing and completely inedible. We ate a bite each. I ordered the grouper topped with crab meat ($42), expecting a top level dish as it was a famous dish for them. Instead, it came out fully raw. While they did remake it, I unfortunately had already eaten part of the undercooked fish before realizing it. Despite these significant issues—a forgotten appetizer, inedible salad, and a raw entrée—nothing was comped on the check. In all our years dining out, we’ve never experienced a restaurant not offering anything to make up for this level of service failure. We really wanted to love our meal, especially being locals who support the island’s restaurants. But this kind of experience makes it hard to recommend South Beach Grill anymore. We will not return

This place does not serve raw oysters. I got the low country seafood mac n cheese which was 10/10, gf got sweet potato crusted flounder which we both did not like 2/10. Rice was not even cooked all the way. Flounder itself was good and flavorful, sweet potato crust was not the best. Left with a stomachache and safe to say we are more than likely not coming back. Maybe just for the mac n cheese.

Food was outstanding. And the device super friendly and prompt. They also made suggestions and were accommodating to a more kid picky palette. The outside dining was great - overall I highly recommend it.

a worker told me and my friends we weren’t allowed in without a shirt because it’s a health code violation. first off, that isn’t true. managment please educate your staff. it’s okay to have policies and all but maybe give me a better explanation.

Don’t know how food is but a young lady promptly told my daughter and her friends that they could not wear bathing suit top because it is a health code violation. It is not a health code violation. Management- please educate your staff on proper ways of communicating dress code. It is ok to have a policy. Don’t just make health code violations up. Will give another try maybe one day. Everyone deserves a second chance.

We really have enjoyed South Beach grill over the years. Although the food and vibe are excellent, we were super disappointed to learn they upcharge 3% for credit card usage. That's just ridiculous and unfortunately, we won't be going back.

Had lunch there today got the fresh catch sandwhich which was swordfish was cooked perfectly and tasted great with their homeade tarter sauce will definatley be back

Great food and a friendly atmosphere! You have to stop when in the Wrightsville Beach Wilmington area!

What’s not to say about south beach grill? They know how to cook and serve some food. I got the short rib and my girlfriend got the eggplant and we were both blown away. Service was incredible, and the drinks were great. I will be highly recommending this spot to everyone know moving forward.

Great fish tacos!

Our first and last time here. Food and drinks were decent, our server Tristan was perfect. However, I will not support a business that nickels and dimes you. When we come in for dinner and drinks and drop over $200, I don't expect to be charged a fee just to use my credit card. You may have made an extra $5 on me that night, but you lost a good customer forever. Hope it's worth it.
