It's a dive bar in an area that shouldn't have a dive bar. Definitely my kind of place. I'd 100% go back.

This is a dive bar. No food despite whomever posted other pictures of food. Decent priced for being walking distance to the beach. Not terribly clean... dive bar.

I LOVE PALM ROOM!! This has been my go to spot for almost 5 years for the best music. The staff are so friendly and every night is a good night when there. The inside is decorated so cute, truly a beach bar. I recommend to all my friends when they come into town:)

Cool Place. Nice vibe. Watched a couple really cool bands and had a few drinks. Not a large place, but a few different areas where you can stay out of the way and enjoy yourself or you can get yourself close to the action. TVs available too with sports on. Looked like a place I would have REALLY enjoyed in my earlyy 20s.

If I could give this one employee -10 I would. We came in from the beach for a drink and decided to use the restroom first. When my friend came out the bathroom this employee immediately yelled at him to leave if he wasn’t buying a drink. I understand that he can’t have people coming in and just using the bathroom and leaving, but all he needed to do was ask nicely if we were drinking or not. My friend would’ve told him yes we were and everything would’ve been fine. Hospitality here is horrible unless you are a straight white man. Do not recommend!!!!

I hate to be a Debbie downer but I feel it's needed. For those who don't wish to read, just known bartenders are rude and condescending.
I've gone to palm room a few times, it had always been an average experience but overall being close to the beach made it a good spot. Tonight I went in, expecting to get some drinks and enjoy the on sight amenities. I was wrong, my id was taken and I expected a Quick Look and move on, however the bartender spent a good few moments just rubbing my ID, now I have a learners permit as my form of ID. My ID expired and the DMV is sending me a new copy, so I carry my valid learners permit around. This ID has been used for federal buildings, for other similar areas and has flagged no issues. The bartender did not try to ask me for info on the ID, or to turn it a bit to see the reflective coating, or to shine it to a light to see the NC shaped marker. He simple rubbed his finger on it for a long time and returned it with a rude ' this is fake dear '. I have never had issue with that ID, it is a DMV issued ID. I honestly do not think I'd have left this review if the bartender had just been polite, but his nasty attitude and overall lack of attempt to verify the ID in the multitude of ways have made me feel this review Is a must. Do not go here if you're not willing to walk to other spots as they'll likely deny you for some made up reason!
