Great little hot dog restaurant near the beach. About a dozen or so options on menu, but you can also choose your own toppings too. Cost less than $10 for two good quality dogs, fabulous!

Used to go there all the time in the late 90s when I was going to UNCW. Was working as a bouncer around the corner at a bar that's now tower 7. I can't remember the name. Red Dawgs was across the street I believe. Been so long... Great hotdogs though.

Quick and easy snack! Appreciated that they had vegetarian dogs as well.

This is a tasty and affordable way to get lunch at the beach. My absolute favorite thing was the hamburger shaped like a hot dog, it blended with the toppings so well, and was just really special and unique.

Ordered two hot coffee drinks and received what seemed like semi cold milk after a 15 minute wait. 2 stars may be generous.

Great hotdog, change hours on google for Sundays. Google says open until 5:30pm but sign on the door says 3:30pm. Disappointed they were closed :(

Need a quick bite to compliment a lovely day at the beach?Look no further than the Trolly Stop! The hot dogs are most reasonable, starting at $4, and they have a wide variety of condiments and toppings to choose from. The service is fast and friendly and of course having an ocean next door make the atmosphere stellar.

We LOVE Trolly Stop! Great staple in downtown Wrightsville Beach. We have one in Chapel Hill also. I loved the Chicago Dog. I purchased one of their hats also… very cool!

We stopped in around 3:20 today. There was no one around. We looked around at the merch and pictures for a few mins before another customer came in. I told him I didn’t think anyone was there, he said maybe they’re out back and went outside. Shortly after a guy comes in behind the counter, washes his hands, doesn’t say hello or sorry for your wait, just “I’ve got 2 hot dogs left” We were planning on getting more than that and we probably would’ve gladly taken those last 2 but with how rude he was, we just left without getting anything. I guess 40 mins before closing isn’t long enough to make more hot dogs? Perhaps if he had been a bit kinder, maybe said hello or I’m sorry about this, it wouldn’t have felt so rude. We stop in every time we come to Wrightsville Beach but after a disappointing experience last year and just being treated flat out rudely this time, this is no longer a “must visit” during our stay.

Ah, youse won't believe it, folks! The Trolly Shop in Wilmington, NC, is the bee's knees when it comes to hot dogs, I tell ya! I strolled in there lookin' for a taste of the windy city, and boy, did they deliver!I ordered myself a Chicago style hot dog, and let me tell ya, it was the real McCoy. That hot dog was like a symphony of flavors, each bite hittin' me like a well-aimed tommy gun, one after the other. The juicy frankfurter was like a wiseguy who knew how to keep a secret, tucked in that poppy seed bun like it was in protective custody. The toppings, oh boy! The neon relish was as bright as a Broadway marquee, and the sport peppers had a kick that could rival a mafia don's temper. But it's that sweet, tangy pickle spear that really sent my taste buds to the moon, like a suitcase filled with cash ready for the getaway car.And don't even get me started on the celery salt – it was like a pinch of old-school charm sprinkled on top. The tomatoes and onions? They danced together on that hot dog like a couple of flappers at a speakeasy, adding that perfect touch of freshness. The Trolly Shop is the real McCoy, folks. It's a slice of Chicago in Wilmington, and it's got more flavor than a secret family recipe. So if you find yourself hankerin' for a hot dog that'll make you an offer you can't refuse, you know where to find it – The Trolly Shop! They've got hot dogs that'll knock your fedora off and leave you feelin' like a real wise guy. Capisce?
