Worst customer service ever, nasty rude workers. Never again.
If you drink one beer they will call the police on you and they will be waiting for you outside to arrest you.

Stopped by for a late dinner on a road trip, and what a fantastic surprise! Delicious Mexican food for unbeatable prices.

Went for the first time, all of the waiters and waitresses acted like they didn’t want to be there. I was only checked on once after I got my food and it’s when I was finishing. The ACP was subpar at best, chicken had good flavor but rice had a weird taste. Overpriced in my opinion and just a very unenjoyable atmosphere. Probably won’t be back anytime soon.

I called twice to place a to go order but no one answered the phone.
Hungry? Be sure not to order the taco salad... Togo order, Complained to night manager. Night manager said that they would fix the problem next time. Week later I called in for another to go order informed the manager of my situation from previous and he acted is if i was lying and declined to fix the issue.
Edit 8/12/2024 Maybe they didn't like their Taco salad either?!? Check out the news...

I have gotten food here often. I enjoy most things though I do think many times the chicken dishes could use more flavor. My main complaint is they show an order online option but I have not been able to place an order online in over a month. Every time, no matter what time of day, the ordering system times out and says the restaurant is not responding. All in all the food is pretty, especially the burgers and the carnitas street tacos, the staff is always great, but if they are going to offer ordering online they need to make sure it works and if not they need to remove that option.

I don't get a taste for Mexican food often, but when I do, Rio Grande is one of my go-to restaurants! The food is always good and the service is too! The staff is friendly and genuinely seems happy to see and serve you! One of my favorite dishes is the Carnitas Dinner, which is well-seasoned, fork-tender, delicious cuts of pork served with rice, beans, and a little salad mix. I'm sorry, I didn't remember to snap photos before we devoured our lunch! It's usually enough food for two meals for me, which I love! My good friend who is a steak lover opts for the Carne Asada, which is tender steak served with rice, beans, and grilled onions ALL seasoned to perfection! So, if you're ever in the small town of Yanceyville, North Carolina stop by Rio Grande Restaurante for a mouth-watering bite of Mexican goodness!?
Parking: This restaurant is in a small strip-mall, but I would say on most days the restaurant uses the majority of the parking spaces, at least during its busiest hours. I've never had an issue with parking here.
Kid-friendliness: This is indeed a family-friendly restaurant.
Wheelchair accessibility: I believe wheelchairs can easily enter this location.

Took forever to take our order, didn't have enough menus, didn't get one dish until the end, and drinks stayed empty. High prices , not friendly staff. Tell them you aren't happy with something they like to argue and start talking to others in Spanish, thinking I couldn't understand them. Definitely won't be back.

My favorite mexican restaurant in the greater danville area. Service has always been fast and courteous, food comes out quick and delicious. We are locals and come here consistently and i struggle to find something to dislike.

service is always great but there were flies everywhere i couldn’t even take a bite of my food before a fly landed. and on top of that i was by myself, a young woman and this group of rednecks we’re making comments and laughing as if i was stupid and didn’t know. i guess i’ll just stick to takeout if i come back.

My family has been here numerous times in last 2 years. I always order the same thing, the chicken chimichanga. It is a nearly $12 meal but it's always been a whole meal. Tonight when my order was brought out, the "two chimichangas" were now literally what seemed even less than the size of one normal sized and cut in half. We questioned the guy playing part of manager. I said this is like half the size of normal. He explained to me I must have ordered from other restaurants before because this is how they are here. No, excuse me but I've eaten here like 20 times and this literally is leas than half order size of the 2 chimichangas o have ever gotten here or anywhere. And they were not fried. I was so mad I couldn't even eat a grain of rice. He tried to make me think I was crazy for noticing they've halved off their proportions. They were each the size in length of my middle finger. (Pause for reflection).there are two next to each other pictures. My pointer finger for reference, is pictured. Didn't argue after that because it was clear the art of customer service is not a concern of Ruo Grande in Yanceeyville. Don't worry though~ and I know clearly they won't~but we won't be back.
