I love this place, great atmosphere for lunch. The waitress was super nice and attentive. But the Chicken salad recipe needs to be revisited. It's missing something, and for the price it should be smacking. Thank you.

I have been eyeballing this place for a couple weeks. Today was the perfect day for me and my child to go and get lunch so as we entered the restaurant, I was not greeted but did see two menus on a high top table so I looked at the menu and was quickly approached after that by a waitress.I do not know her name. I asked her if we could sit outside and she said that they had an outside seating area and pointed to it. Much to my surprise she came on out with my drinks. We both ordered sweet teas. Once she got out to the patio, I realize that there was seating on the upper deck and asked her if we could go up and order our food. She replied and told us that we could go ahead and use the side steps up to the upper deck, after we seated ourselves up there I did not see her for about 10 to 15 minutes when she came back she mentioned to me that if I needed anything else to order, I would need to walk in and order it as the upper deck was just for alcohol only. I was thinking that when I was with my four year-old child, she would assume that we were there to eat as it is noon. The message was not delivered in the most friendly way, I get it. Everyone has their days, but she just seemed more frustrated to have to wait on us than anything. So I just asked her if I could take my tab I want to pay for the drinks that I had already ordered and she looked at me like she was really confused She never brought the tab so me and my daughter left. I saw The waitress mingling with another waitress at the bar as we were about to exit, and there was no mention of the mixup or being sorry about the mixup. I felt like we were more of a burden to her than anything. as someone who worked in the restaurant industry for 15+ years, I find this very disheartening. As a local community, I feel like that we should try and do better, going out of her way to meet my accommodations is not what I’m asking for. I was just asking for a more transparent visit from the very time I got there.

Food was good. Beer was alright. Time to place a food order and then get the actual food took foooorrreeeevvvvveeeeerrrrrr.... The staff were nice about it, though.

Super good food! And the servers were kind. But the food took soooo long to come out. We’ve had this experience twice now. I think maybe they need to hire a few more staff. But great food!! Super yummy. And good drinks too!

2nd time there, 1st time was great. Tonight was terrible, prime rib was well done and maybe a quarter inch thick at best. Asked for medium, had to ask for refills 3 times before getting 1st drink refills. Soda was flat, even waitress said she thought it was flat, since it had no fizz. Ask to change it to tea,never got till finished eating. Asked for ranch dressing never got till finished eating. Asked for extra napkins, never got. And they were not busy. Now we know why.

We dined in at the Norse Brewing Longhouse on a Tuesday for lunch (around 12:30pm)
The jalapeño chips with ranch were a great starter to share, but they took a long time to arrive at our table (around 25 minutes). They were delicious though and warm, so we happily devoured them. Our burgers arrived shortly after (about 5 minutes later) and they were delicious as well! I’m glad we did the duck fat fries upgraded side for our burgers, they were so yummy.
Our waitresses were attentive and helpful, they also apologized for the long wait on the starter and said the kitchen was running a little slow. This is my 3rd time dining here, and it was the slowest food service I’ve received so far, so I’m hoping this was just a fluke or an outlier for the normal service. There were maybe 10-15 other people in the restaurant during the lunch hour, so not super busy, but not empty either.
One other item I noted was that the beer (amber on draft) was fairly warm, even though it was freshly poured from the tap. Maybe they had recently changed the keg out and it hadn’t had a chance to cool down, but it made the beer less enjoyable since it was lukewarm and barely chilled. I think having chilled glasses on hand would help mitigate when this happens on fresh keg changes so it can help to chill the beverage down for the consumer.
All in all, we were happy with our experience and our last two visits have been awesome as well, so we’ll be back soon!

The Viking Burger and Duck Fat Fries were absolutely amazing!! Staff was friendly and the beer was great! highly recommend!

First visit unfortunately will be our last. 2 at out table ordered mac and cheese came out ice cold. They took it back and when they brought it back you can instantly smell it was burnt. Waitress said oh, sorry. She was very u attentive even though there were only a few customers. Did not offer to refill drinks. Burgers were subpar. Beer was flat. Never again.

Just had a steak and cheese sub with tatter tots I am not impressed. I’m from up north and the steak and cheese was not good. I believe the steak was frozen shaved steak. The beer cheese was gross. I had high hopes for this place but they didn’t execute.

Such a gem! My husband and I recently moved to Zebulon from Boston and we were looking for similar vibes with a friendly and inviting atmosphere. The food was amazing as well! We did not even take pictures cause the food was so good!
