I’ll never knock the taste of the food here….its always good…….but I just payed $2.49 for a side of hush puppies with my order…… and got 3 hush puppies…..3 of them. I’ll never order them again if that’s all I’m going to get…. That’s a pure waste of money. Those were supposed to be for my kids. I’m so disappointed.

Everything about this restaurant is exceptional. Food is always fresh and delicious, employees are courteous, and the entire facility (including their restrooms) is consistently clean. We stop and eat at this location whenever we can on our trips back and forth to Durham.

Just stopped at Smithfield’s Chicken ‘n Bar-B-Q in Zebulon, NC & we were so impressed! 👏🏻 The food quality was top-notch & absolutely delicious. We had the BBQ sandwich — mouthwateringly yummy with that signature Eastern Carolina vinegar-based flavor — and the chicken tenders were huge, moist & perfectly seasoned 😋 Our server Charles was outstanding — cheerful, helpful, & super efficient. Great food and great service — what more could you ask for? ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I am doing this review because I am outraged that I was served lemonade that smelled like urine. I’m not sure if some angry employee tampered with the lemonade or if the lemonade was even made at the store, but it is horrible to think that something like that could’ve made me sick. I called the store ASAP just to ensure that they don’t serve that lemonade to anyone else and potentially get someone sick! The rest of the experience there was good as far as the customer service and the food was fresh. They have really improved on the customer service since they renovated.
