Rude and couldn’t even remember to give the sauces that I paid for

Beans were cold, pork was barely chopped, ran by confused folk.

Typical Zebulon fast food experience. “Can I take your order?” I place my order…. Silence….. “are you going to order?” I asked did you not hear a word I just said? *very rude tone* “EXCUSE ME?????”…. I spoke clearly & I have a naturally powerful voice and the lady in line in front of me didn’t appear to have any issues placing her order, I guess she has a problem with “white male 45-55”, so I had to go to Knightdale where they heard my order the first time & always do. I could have repeated my order again, but after that interaction, I left. I don’t want extra ingredients in my shrimp platter.
It is impossible to go to anywhere with a drive thru in Zebulon since Hillbilly’s closed and get a good meal served as you ordered it without bad attitudes. Its a guarantee you will get a bad attitude, the wrong order, or a very poorly prepared order, or all three at the same place at the same time. Save yourself the headache and go to Knightdale.

If you're going to a Smithfield's Chicken & BBQ, go to the one in Zebulon, NC. I've been to several all over the state and the Zebulon location is consistently the best.

Smiling and courteous faces are always a pleasant visit at any eatery. Just more than a canned flavoring for a banana pudding cup, freshly cooked and tasty hush puppies and many menu items.

I live in Western NC and wish this restaurant was here in Hickory! I looked for a restaurant that could accommodate my hungry travel weary family’s needs. Smithfield’s Chicken ‘N Bar-B-Q hit the spot! Fast fresh food with quality ingredients served by friendly staff. If only I had ordered a few pounds of the pulled pork I could have it again anytime!

Food is good not great..a little pricey for pulled barbecue and slaw.

Edit: Well, I visited this Location 9-29-24 and I must say it's worse than before. I ordered a combination dark meal with beans and slaw and none of it was edible. The chicken was fatty and mostly breading and the pulled pork was bland and had no flavor at all and was a dark color as if it was reheated several times. Smithfield was such a good place to eat back in the 90's. I remember loving the taste of the food and the quality was always great. Now it's just rubbish. A ripoff and it's sad to see. Avoid this location if you are looking for quality.

Customer service was absolutely outstanding!! The food was delicious and was cooked to perfection!! We will make this our stop everytime otw to Manteo, NC! Thank yall!!

Our first experience here, driving thru. The workers here were super and attentive from cashier to bus staff. Got good food quickly. Was dining in and asked 2-3 times 'do you need anything, a refill, how's your meal'? Restaurant clean too. Glad we stopped.
