We enjoyed the exhibits that were displayed in the three-story 1914 schoolhouse and the surrounding outbuildings. I want to acknowledge one of the employees, Marshall. He greeted us when we arrived and explained the history of the museum and exhibits. He made us feel welcome. Also you must stop and visit Jess in the one room schoolhouse outbuilding. She has the best coffee and stories. This is a nice place to visit.
Nice stop with detailed history of the area. From the petrified tree stumps outside to the buildings full of old farm machinery. Don't miss the great little coffee shop in the restored one room school house.
Came for the haunted house! Was great!
Interesting, it would have been better if someone had been there to talk about the items
I was expecting this place to be dedicated to the Lewis and Clark expedition. It wasn't. It's in an old school house and has mainly subject matter concerning the towns history. While interesting, it was not what I expected.
They have some pretty great history here. Lots of antique period pieces. Definitely worth the stop.
Exterior visit only but worth it!
On September 6, 2017, I visited and savored this fabulous museum with my eyes early in the morning. I only visited the exterior of this site, however, but the 24 photos that I offer you will, I hope, convince you to visit the interior part as well. The agricultural heritage of yesteryear is proudly displayed in a masterful manner despite this rust of the past which adds an indescribable authenticity.
I highly recommend this museum.

Some really cool history, not just Lewis and Clarke!
Staff were super nice and helpful, considering we flooded the museum with around 100 people!

Worth the stop. The local information on founders and homesteaders in the area was really interesting. There is no charge to get in but it is defined worthy of a donation in the jar!!
Come out and support local!
Free and it's one of the most amazing ones I have ever seen. So many artifacts , people that work there are knowledgeable.
I was there for a paint and so next door decided to explore the museum before the event started.
