About Trapper's Kettle

Trapper's Kettle is a popular restaurant with a cozy atmosphere and good food. It features a Western front decor that captures the spirit of North Dakota, with taxidermy animals, wildlife dioramas, and a collection of traps that appeal especially to hunters and sportsmen. The restaurant offers a simple menu with tasty options like the Southwest chicken salad, chicken fried steak, and Little Trapper #1. There is also a gift shop attached, where visitors can browse animal decor and other items. Although service can sometimes be slow, many customers enjoy the friendly staff and the unique, authentic vibe. The decor and displays make it a fun place to explore, and the restaurant is a great stop for families and groups passing through the area. Currently, it serves breakfast and lunch due to staffing shortages, but the pizza shop stays open after the restaurant closes at 4. Visitors often leave satisfied with their meals and the nostalgic atmosphere, and many appreciate the chance to see the taxidermy and artwork that add to the overall experience.

Waited in line forever with my 3 kids Probably 45 minutes Then the server sat 2 groups behind us and my kids were so hungry and struggling to wait, got to the table had to wait even longer for the server to appear bring drinks Food took forever no silverware I served for many years so I understand we all have bad days, but this was clearly just a poorly ran restaurant. Def will never return

We waited 40 minutes for 2 hot beefs. 4 other tables, 2 waitresses and 2 back in the kitchen. Waitress never came to check on us when we finally got our food. Gravy was weird tasting with a weird gelatinous consistency. It was after 6pm and I wondered why it was so dead at suppertime. I guess I got my answer.

Long waits for sub par not edible food. Wife’s food had hair in it. My burger was a Charcoal burnt to a crisp. Shameful lake of service and table was dirty ugh this place
