Cute place between Dickinson and Medora, ND. The food was pretty good. I got a cheeseburger and it was better than Applebee's by far. It has a cute gift shop attached and I love the animal decor. I'll definitely stop there again. *If you don't like seeing taxidermied animals, this place is NOT for you.

Waited in line forever with my 3 kids Probably 45 minutes Then the server sat 2 groups behind us and my kids were so hungry and struggling to wait, got to the table had to wait even longer for the server to appear bring drinks Food took forever no silverware I served for many years so I understand we all have bad days, but this was clearly just a poorly ran restaurant. Def will never return

Normally this has been a great place to eat. Today breakfast was a different story. We received our drinks, placed the food order and apparently were forgotten about. People who came in 15 to 20 min after we did got their food after ordering. When we questioned it we were told it should be coming. Needless to say we left and went elsewhere. Chances are I will not choose to dine here the next trip through.

We waited 40 minutes for 2 hot beefs. 4 other tables, 2 waitresses and 2 back in the kitchen. Waitress never came to check on us when we finally got our food. Gravy was weird tasting with a weird gelatinous consistency. It was after 6pm and I wondered why it was so dead at suppertime. I guess I got my answer.

Long waits for sub par not edible food. Wife’s food had hair in it. My burger was a Charcoal burnt to a crisp. Shameful lake of service and table was dirty ugh this place

Am eating here every couple weeks and almost every time waiting for the food is extremely long :(. Today (Monday morning) ordered a pancake and sandwich and was waiting 40minutes. Hope it will get better!

I had one of the worst dining experiences of my life at Trapper’s Kettle. The food was absolutely terrible — my chicken was dry and flavorless, and the steak didn’t even taste like beef. It was tough, bland, and clearly not fresh. To make matters worse, the service was just as disappointing. Our waitress seemed annoyed the entire time, barely checked on us, and acted like we were an inconvenience.
To top it all off, shortly after eating there, I became extremely sick. Without being too graphic, I’ll just say the meal did not sit well and caused a serious emergency on the drive home. I’ve never had such a reaction to food before.
I would strongly advise others to think twice before eating here. Between the terrible service, awful food, and what happened after, it’s a place I’ll never return to.

This was honestly the worst food I’ve ever had. Ordered a steak and mashed potatoes it looked like canned dog food on a plate. The chicken was also super dry

Love this restaurant! Great place to stop when coming back from the monuments and Yellowstone! Bison burger is great and the hot beef and mashed potatoes is excellent. Old fashion good real food! Not to mention that great display of animals!

I’ll worker that day was sick. She said she had to work an extra shift due to lack of help but she did a wonderful job.
