Amazing food, great prices. There was only one server but she was working her butt off taking care of the tables. If you go be patient the food is worth it.

We don’t know how good the food is. It might be great but the service was awful. I don’t know why the sign said seat yourself because every table was either taken or full of dishes. There was more seating in the back but the section was closed. What actually made me mad was that no one said, “We’ll be right with, or we’re a bit swamped right now.” They were obviously overwhelmed but there is a professional way to handle the situation. Saying nothing makes even seated patrons feel neglected.

Currently only serving breakfast and lunch at the restaurant due to staffing shortage, but the pizza shop is open after the restaurant closes at 4. We’ve experienced both this week and both have been excellent. The restaurant decor is almost worth the stop in itself!

We sat across from the kitchen and watched the cook pick his nose! Now I'm wondering if we have a boogey burger!!

Nothing says North Dakota more than the Trapper's Kettle. This place is a throwback to the days of yesteryears.. Great tasting food, service, & the nostalgia of the old Western front. Definitely worth the visit.

I remember this place from my childhood and the food was decent but the service, even on a slow day, was lacking. Salad bar is not even as close to what it use to be but I assume that has to do with downturn in customers. I'd stop again if I was headed this way.

Save yourself the aggravation and go somewhere else ... Food was mediocre ... My order was messed up and they didn't make it right .. Service stunk ...

My husband and I ate at Trappers Kettle Tuesday evening. The server was so nice and the food was amazing. We both had the chicken fried steak. We are just passing through, heading home but was so glad we enjoyed a meal here.

This place was good. I was surprised by the portions, tho especially for the price, but not in a good way. I ordered chicken fried steak and it's $20. It looked like a chicken nugget with gravy on it.

Very small portions! Overpriced! Ordered a burger and it came with a handful of fries. Burger was comparable to McDonald’s! Not worth money/ time. Will not stop here again!

Was in an hour before close. Late arival to a party of 4.Took the waitress 10 min to take drink order and give menu. Salad bar half empty. Refused to serve breakfast items(all day on menu). Then were in formed that they only had one rib eye special left after a 10 min delay after ordering. Gave special to coworker asked for menu again. Server comes over rudely apologies then disappeared around the counter. I got up paid for my beer and walked to the pizza place across the parking lot.

Arrived approximately 40 minutes before the buffet was to end. We ordered the buffet. Got to the salad bar 95% empty, when to the hot food, everything was gone but 1 hot item. No one said anything that the buffet was gone. Very very disappointed

I look forward to a dine in experience at trappers kettle when passing through on my semi Truck. It is my favorite restaurant in ND. Sundays are a great time to go with the buffet.
