This place was good. I was surprised by the portions, tho especially for the price, but not in a good way. I ordered chicken fried steak and it's $20. It looked like a chicken nugget with gravy on it.

Very small portions! Overpriced! Ordered a burger and it came with a handful of fries. Burger was comparable to McDonald’s! Not worth money/ time. Will not stop here again!

Was in an hour before close. Late arival to a party of 4.Took the waitress 10 min to take drink order and give menu. Salad bar half empty. Refused to serve breakfast items(all day on menu). Then were in formed that they only had one rib eye special left after a 10 min delay after ordering. Gave special to coworker asked for menu again. Server comes over rudely apologies then disappeared around the counter. I got up paid for my beer and walked to the pizza place across the parking lot.

Arrived approximately 40 minutes before the buffet was to end. We ordered the buffet. Got to the salad bar 95% empty, when to the hot food, everything was gone but 1 hot item. No one said anything that the buffet was gone. Very very disappointed

I look forward to a dine in experience at trappers kettle when passing through on my semi Truck. It is my favorite restaurant in ND. Sundays are a great time to go with the buffet.

Great restaurant with standard restaurant fare. Fast and friendly staff. Lots of neat knick knacks to entertain the eyes.

Food was good, service was pretty subpar. It seemed like a slow time for the restaurant. They have a salad bar and soup station that are a fairly cheap addition to your meal. I got the Trapper's Ground Round. I'd recommend it if you're in the area.

Service was a bit slow but not bad. Tough finding help and gals working were working hard. The decor has always been amazing.0

Our waitress really looked like she was trying! She is the only one I saw taking orders (and I had lots of time to people watch). The restaurant wasn't packed with people. Watched multiple people leave due to wait times. Everything was slow. You seat yourself. They take drink orders. Then you wait. Savor your drink or order two as you will not get a refill. Food took a long time. Guessing because only one kid was cooking. I saw four people hanging around the kitchen. Two guys looked at the salad and soup section multiple times. But it looked as if only one young kid was cooking and plating the food. I ordered the chicken fried steak with white gravy and mashed potatoes. The waitress double checked the type of gravy. I received a tough chicken fried steak with brown gravy and fries. My waitress apologized and said we would get a discount. Not sure if we did. The salad my mother ordered was small and drastically over priced. If you are traveling through town...you might want to travel a little further for someplace else to eat.

Couldn’t tell you if the food was good. After waiting 15 minutes with no acknowledgement from any of the staff we decided to leave. Workers had no hustle one lady even sat down to visit with someone next to us without even offering us water/coffee or a menu.
Headed to Java Gypsies instead and were pleased with food, coffee, and service!
To the owners/management: if you’re going to be a seat yourself restaurant you should really have menus at the tables (even though there wasn’t a single clean table when we walked in so we had to sit at a dirty one).
