The inside makes the place look bigger than the outside does. This is an “Old School” supper club!!! Highly recommend this place and will be back again!!!

Our reservation was at 7:30 PM. We arrived at 7:15 PM and was seated right away. Both the host and Kylie, our waitress, were very friendly and accommodating. 40 has a great wine list. We were surprised and disappointed that they were out of the wedge and garden salad. Our meatball appetizer was lukewarm. The rest of our meal was the right temperature. Loaded baked potato was not very good and did not have butter on it or on the side.

We have eaten here twice now. Both experiences were great.

The building itself is so cute and I love how the different rooms are decorated in their own way based on North Dakota industries.

The food has been good both times. It's on the spendier side, but it's a true steakhouse with ND raised and aged beef, so it's worth it. The seafood is also great.

If you want to try something off that beaten path that isn't just another franchise, give them a try!

Food there really wasn't much taste to it the dipping sauce for the lobster tails was very not tasteful couldn't even taste it

Worse meal I have ever had hands down from the drinks to steak absolutely terrible the butter for bread was gross the asparagus was plan steamed no salt no butter. The loaded potatoes had more cheese than potatoes, than order the top steak on the menu ordered it medium cause was sharing with my wife came with a medium rare tag and was more on the blue side. I don’t no a lot about aged meat but that had the worst flavor I’ve ever tasted and zero juice to it. I raise beef and eat a lot of steak can’t say I’ve ever left one on my plate and absolutely couldn’t eat it but that sucker got left there 100 dollar steak left for the garbage. We were polite and said everything was fine and paid my tap. Will never eat there again

Overpriced average cooked food. Fish was OK, rice was overcooked, and VERY plain. Worst yet, the waiter took my cash and disappeared for like 15 minutes and returned without offering change. I tip, and well, but I don't want people to just TAKE my change. That's shitty. In any event, the experience assured that I'll never return.

The food was overcooked but tasty. The prices would be worth it if the food were properly cooked and if service were more prompt. We weren't upset about the experience. I'm happy to pay top dollar but this restaurant did not quite make the mark. This was a so-so food experience.
