I love going to Applebees! Sometimes it can be a little hit or miss. The service is never bad but varies from medium to good. Same for the food. Today my fries were a little less fresh than I would have preferred. The 2 for 25 menu is my favorite!

I don’t normally leave reviews like this, however I just had the most frustrating experience at the north Applebee's in Bismarck. My girlfriend and I went to grab dinner, we got there and were seated very quickly, but from that point on things went very downhill. It took seemingly a while for our server to come to the table, I won’t try and estimate because I don’t want to be incorrect but it felt longer than it should have. When she finally came to the table we were fully ready to order, we got an app drinks and entrées. The appetizer was the first thing to come out, we had finished nearly the entire appetizer before even getting our drinks, the drinks weren’t brought out by our original server, rather they were brought by someone else who was apologetic about the wait and said she hadn’t gotten the ticket for the drinks. When the food finally came out after nearly 45min the food I had gotten was not as advertised. i’ve gotten the dish before, and it had bite-size cuts of bell peppers and onions mixed in with the pasta. However, when I got my plate this time there were large pieces of peppers that had not been cored all the way through. Meaning the white ISH inner sections were still very visible and they were whole slices about an inch wide completely uncooked, and there were no onions whatsoever in the dish. After a few minutes of trying to flag down our server, she finally came back and I politely asked if I could get it remade just because I had had it before, and this was very different from the first version of the dish that I had. She said that it was no problem and that they would have it remade and so when she took it back to the kitchen, we sat there for another 15 or so minutes at this point we had been here for well over an hour and had somewhere else to go. so when the remade dish came out, I asked if we could get it boxed up in a to go box because we needed to be somewhere, our server left and came back with the boxes set them down on the table set the check down and said “here you are” and then walked away. There was no have a nice night or anything. I know that these are all seemingly minor problems, but I didn’t even get to eat my meal in the restaurant after being there for over an hour. Overall I’m very frustrated with our experience tonight.
