What a fantastic place to take the kids to get doughnuts. Friendly service, great selection and some of the best maple glazed and old fashioned doughnuts I've ever had. Stop in any chance we get.

This place is AWESOME!
I walked in, they immediately greeted me and helped me pick out THE best O-rings!
Bacon topped, creme filled, you want it, they have it.
OR the will make it, as long as its a doughnut type of ring.

We got a crueler, a bear scat, a pumpkin filled, a blueberry filled, an apple fritter and a German chocolate. Nothing was good, buying had much flavor and none of them had a great texture.

We have eaten at Bearscat many times and the doughnuts there are always really good. My concern lately has been cleanliness. Its clear they don't move tables when they sweep and the vents in the bathrooms are covered with dust and gunk. If this is what the public areas look like, I'm a little worried about how clean the kitchen is.

Hands down always the BEST donuts!

The kid was a little pushy about me selecting what I wanted...I felt rushed....

Very nice doughnuts, and even nicer people. I passed through town with some friends and we wanted to eat Bismarks in Bismarck. They had a wide variety, and threw in a free bearscat doughnut so we could experience the local style before leaving town.

I recently visited Bearscat Bakehouse in Bismarck for the first time and, unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. While the donuts themselves were good, the clear highlight of the visit, the service left much to be desired.

The staff member who assisted us was rude and impatient, despite us making it clear that we were first-time customers and unfamiliar with their offerings. Instead of being welcoming or helpful, her attitude made the ordering process uncomfortable and uninviting. I’m curious what the rush was since it wasn’t busy and we weren’t causing any issues?

Overall, the quality of the donuts is the only redeeming factor. If you’re looking for decent donuts and don’t mind unfriendly service, this place might be worth a stop. Otherwise, I hope they work on improving their customer service for future guests.

Wonderful people! There is always a HUGE selection, fried right.. perfect. I frequent every week. :) super clean and well lit store.

Picked up some donuts to go very tasty and full of flavor! Highly recommend to anyone who hasn't been!

Bearscat was handing out Halloween coloring sheets to kids. They told my daughters that if they complete the coloring sheet they would get a free donut when they brought the sheet back in. They were excited, colored the sheets over the weekend. We returned the sheets this morning and were told that they get a token for a free donut to use on their next visit. But that they would make an exception this time but not in the future. My 9 and 6 year old daughters looked up at me like what? If you are going to have color contest and give out a donut to kids for participating. GIVE THEM A DONUT, not some token to garner more business. It is terrible practice and i hope the owners consider changing this practice.
