Excellent service in a relaxed environment a friend and I enjoyed a nice lunch.
The soup was a vegetarian thyme vegetable, the salad fresh and tasty.
The less than five star review reflects slightly limited vegetarian options on the menu. No veggie burger option.

Well for starters the drinks were not impressive at all, watered down. The descriptions were not accurate to what the drinks tasted like. The drinks took 15 minutes to get once our drink order was placed and let me remind you it was a Saturday night and wasn't busy at all.

Next the food. I ordered the fish and chips, and my fiancé ordered the reuben. The fish was heavily covered in batter and looked burnt. The only way you could eat it was to pick the fish out (pictured). The reuben was gross, no thousand island dressing and was just mushy.

Finally the service. It was very slow, and again, it was not busy. While waiting for our drinks our waitress didn't come back to take our order, just waited for our drinks to be done before coming back at all. Our waitress checked on us once and that was it! We asked for our bill and got out of there. We will not be going back and will stick to the other places in town.

I chose to take the family (8) here to try something different for my husband's birthday. They were all skeptical. The appetizer, the meals, drinks, the waitress (who was new) and oh the dessert, EVERYTHING was a HIT with my very picky family! Everyone had a great time. I am so appreciative. It was worth the heavy ticket at the end.

Service sucked it took 45 minutes to order food and wasn't busy and then took another 30 on my drinks don't recommend this place

Sat at our table for 50 minutes before food came out. Upstairs was closed and there was MAYBE 30 people. For a Saturday night is was practically dead. The service was slow. The drinks were not what were advertised in their cocktail menu. In the 50 minutes we sat our server checked once and then the food came out cold. Never again.

Update: the burger my boyfriend got came out half raw and the second drink he attempted to order while we were finally eating ended up being canceled because the food was so bad we sent it back and just asked for our check so we could leave and go get something edible somewhere else.

Love the atmosphere here so much! Such beautiful design the stained glass is gorgeous. Great food and menu. Can’t wait to try another cocktail next time! The banana cream pie martini was delish

Had the meatloaf sandwich and let me tell you it was in incredible. Unfortunately that’s about all that was good during my visit tonight. When you go to ale works or any brewery on a Friday night you expect to enjoy beer and good food. This place was out of nearly half of their beer menu and I’m beyond disappointed. I listed five different beers I wanted before the waitress finally told me it was one they weren’t out of. Everything else was out including twisted tea, which is ridiculous. if I ever decide to give this place another chance I will be calling ahead to make sure that a brewery has beer, which is apparently too much to ask. Really unfortunate considering their food is very good.

Parking: Kind of a small parking lot, but wasn’t too bad to get in and out of

To preface, it was a Wednesday night and I think one of the waitresses was new.

It took me a while to get served. They even apologized for the delay. I ordered the Bismarck brewery cream ale but I think they brought me the New England ipa. The burger was dry and boring. The truffle fries had so much sprinkles (of what, I’m not sure) on them it was sickly.

I had a couple more drinks and then had to get out of there. It smelled of burned vegetable oil.

Nothing special. I wouldn’t go back.

Why would you be closed on a Sunday? Insane. Not even worth visiting.

My husband and I ordered the fish and chips. It was terrible, the worst fish we have ever ordered. Thinking it would be a golden brown filet no instead it was 2 round dark brown (burnt) pieces didn't look like any fish we've ever ordered.
All batter and very little fish.

We frequent Ale Works regularly. Great food and great service! The Jaegerschnitzel is a go-to menu option, but there are many more German-style dishes to choose from.
