Great place, great food and drinks. But I have a suggestion: I place a lot of online orders, which is convenient. However, there have been many times (including today) where I wait in line at the drive-thru only to finally get to the window and see the 'drive-thru closed due to short staff' sign. This is understandable, however please consider changing this sign to 'drive-thru closed except for online orders.' This way, people don't have to circle the block, hopefully find a parking spot, then come inside and wait in line for 15 minutes to pick up an order that's already been completed. So much easier to just hand it to me from the window and it respects everyone's time.

Stopped on for a coffee and brunch snack. Very cute and cozy location, but also limited seating. The line was a little longer which made it hard to maneuver to the back seating area. The coffee was good as well as the croissant. I had some friends with who were at the end waiting for our order to be ready so it was odd when they called my name to the back for me to come up and get it. They had cool chalk drawings on the sidewalk right out by the front door which added a little interest as well.

Aug 3, 2025 I ordered 2 French kiss coffees and 2 cinnamon rolls. On a beautiful Sunday morning, my friend and I decided that we wanted to start our day of errands with a good cup of coffee and something sweet. Naturally, our first thought is Brick Oven Bakery. We ordered and left to start our merry day. We arrived up north to a grocery store so we could sit in the parking lot and eat our food. Before I started eating my roll I realized a discoloration on side, I then turned to my friend to see if she saw the same thing I saw. After realizing that there was MOLD on the cinnamon roll, I called the store. The barista who answered the phone was really sweet and graceful in the way she handled the situation. She did exactly what any person would do, apologized, took down my information and advised that she would pass it along to whom ever was in charge. This is where my anger and frustration comes in. A couple minutes later, I got a call from the OWNER. Her tone, choice of words and mannerism was extremely distasteful and disgusting. She didn’t call me back with the intention of resolving the issue. Firstly, she called and put me on speaker phone which I was NOT aware of. Secondly, she got upset with me after I sent a photo and described to her what I saw on the pastry. She wanted me to believe that it was “aluminum transfer” from utensils being used (which then leads to the question ‘are you using unclean utensils on products that your customers are consuming. Hmmmmmm) which I then said, there’s hair like things on the pastry, I don’t think it’s transfer of anything. After a minute long back and forth, she then said that I wasn’t getting a refund and I shouldn’t be a customer anymore proceeded to hang up. At this point I’m PISSED and I want my money back. So we drove out of the parking lot, and went straight back to the store. We spoke to another barista which was so gracious and apologetic (unsure if she is the same one from the beginning). She explained that she wouldn’t be able to give a refund, that the owner is the only one that had that power. So I asked can it be changed for another one, she said they didn’t have any more. Told her I didn’t want it and I left. Long story short, please inspect your food before you leave. Take the 30s to ensure your food doesn’t have “utensil transfer” to save yourself a 45min hassle of still not getting your money back.

A beautiful small business with great staff, amazing baked goods and breads. I highly recommend this place if you are in Bismarck.

I usually give 5 stars every time I stop but I was disappointed that my breakfast croissant with bacon was half cold and I was charged $2.00 extra for bacon. Two very thin pieces of bacon. It was Sunday morning and they were very busy so I didn't try to tell the staff then.

Cute bakery. Perfect place to chat with friends or do a little work from. Tried the blueberry banana bread muffin and the money bread. Both were fantastic.

Absolutely delicious. The pastries are very fresh and mouth watering. Great menu for a smaller size eatery. Parking is street parking and not easy to get a spot . It's summer so who don't want to walk a couple blocks to get a very good sandwich , pastries or smoothie. Thumbs up on this find.

I can confidently say that it is love at first sip of coffee, at the first breath of this divine freshly baked bread, croissants and puffs! This is my favorite cafe in all of North Dakota. I adore your serving of coffee in these snow-white cups!!! And your croissants are a divine delight! For this reason, I am ready to drive 2 hours from Jamestown to immerse myself in this atmosphere of delight!!! You are the best! Thank you so much for your work!!!
