I have tried really hard to like this place... but about 75% of the time, the customer service is rude/short, the drinks always taste different depending on who's making it, and the service is also super slow..

Communication, communication, communication fix your signage. If there is an issue with staffing, then put up a sign apologizing for the inconvenience. Locking your doors in the middle of the day takes away trust.

Is this place even open anymore? I pulled up to the drive thru speaker in the middle of the day on a Wednesday and sat there for longer than I should have waiting for someone to take my order. The hours are posted on the speaker and I was well within those hours. I used to love coming here, but the last few times I’ve tried, they're closed. I understand if they’re short staffed, but change your posted hours then.

A few times I've gone here the barista's are great, but I've literally tried five times to go during their business hours stated on their menu, and they're never open. I've just given up on trying. Why not just update your hours?

i will delete this review later, but there is no other way to get ahold of you at this time: your building sign and website both say “Open” at 10:30am but the doors are locked, the lights are off, and the building is empty. please either update your hours or get someone to come turn off the open sign. i understand staffing is hard to come by, but i don’t want your business tanking due to a situation like this!
City Brew has some of my favorite coffee in Bismarck also their (unfortunately currently not available) raspberry oatmeal bar is my obsession. Unfortunately their lobby has been closed whenever I’ve tried to stop by for awhile now. Pretty disappointed. This place used to be a great place to get weekend morning breakfast and warm up by the fireplace.

I have gone to city brew many times over the years but lately one of the baristas have made me not want to come back.. Mya Ravenberg or however you say it has never been friendly and is always very rude and unwelcoming when I come through it my friends who i’ve talked to. Hope you get better staff so I can come back. Please don’t reach out I’ve done my part and am not interested in getting involved more.

Yall need to do better. I placed a Togo order on the mobile app for pick up at 3:20, mobile pickup said it was available. When I went to retrieve my order on my lunch break there was a note on the door that said closed, however the door was unlocked so I went in. Nobody was there. The alarms went off and my card was charged over 30 bucks.
The food here is great, but your service is terrible. There is no where to get a hold of anyone, phone doesn’t have voicemail and emails haven’t been opened. You can’t charge people for goods and services they haven’t received. Whoever is running this place needs to get it together. And at the bare minimum if you’re gonna be closing early due to staffing, shut off your mobile pickup orders and lock the door.

I used to love coming here but recently their quality control has gone down the toilet… I ordered the campfire mocha and even asked the employee if it had marshmallow and she said yes. Got one, couldn’t taste any marshmallow and barely a hint of coco. Called back and said I think you forgot the flavor? And the lady, while polite, said “I think I made that, there was flavor.” I said I just wasn’t comfortable paying $7 for that drink and she said that “maybe next time I should order double flavor for that drink.” Ok fine whatever. But today I got a different drink that I get regularly and usually tastes great (no double flavor) and it barely tasted as if it had any flavor at all. This is ridiculous and sadly I won’t be able to come back here for a while since I don’t want to pay $6-8 for disappointment. I would encourage anyone to steer clear of City Brew for the time being.
