This is a hidden gem of a restaurant for the Bismarck-Mandan area. We ordered Cuban sandwiches and quesitos(a cream cheese pastry).
The sandwiches were outstanding-made with delicious fresh bread and outstanding pork. The pastry was flaky and tasty without being overly sweet. My quesito had guava and was so good. We will definitely be returning and will do our best to get the word out!!!! Please give them a try.

Great affordable pastries with a European feel. The inside has a lot of seating and looks like a clean cafe. They have an espresso machine and make lattes and americanos as well as black coffee. The coffee was fine but pastries are worth it! The best is the dulce de leeche - but none are bad from the ones we tried. Lunch menu attached. No public bathroom. Kid friendly.

The catering from El Coqui was fantastic! They were very easy to work with, professional, and reasonably priced. The polished presentation of their food helped elevate our event. We got numerous complements throughout the event on the food with many asking where it was catered from. They exceeded our expectations and we happily recommend them for any event.

One of Bismarck’s hidden gems! the food is wonderful !! I recommend checking them out.
Delicious Cuban and Tripleta Sandwiches! These subs were HUGE and enough for 2 people. We also have ordered a custom grad party cake and it was beautiful and delicious.
Couldn't agree more, why so few reviews for this stellar bakery? We big time LOVE this place. I always try to get just one item for each of us, but before you know it, I am trying to buy pastries for the entire extended family.... because they are just that good! Flavors are robust and delightfully different. All of their items are beautiful. My husband savors the items we bring him and my daughters gobble up theirs as soon as we hit the car. I wish this place was in our town.
Thak you for the pastries for DOR!
My friends and I stopped this morning and got some donuts and coffee. It is a small Puerto Rican bakery. We got the guava and cheese pastry, a key lime donut, a pineapple turnover, and a dulce de leche donut. All were very good. Definitely recommend stopping in as this place is a hidden gem and I am surprised to see only 1 review. This place definitely deserves a 4.5 rating or higher.
Too expensive for the amount of food that we got and both of our sandwiches had bearly any meat (we order a tripleta and a cubano)

Excellent food! Pastries and donuts are phenomenal!
Amazing food, highly recommended for anyone wanting authentic flavor.
Great sandwiches and fair to average doughnuts. Wish the menu was more descriptive with prices and flavors listed. For example one was banana and thought boston cream. The Cuban sandwich was great and large enough to share
The owner & chef were absolutely amazing. They cared about your experience. The food was some of the best food I’ve had in a long time, not to mention the large portions. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Cuban food with mostly pastries but also some great sandwiches. When we went we tried out some of their different sodas from coconut, to apple, to kola. We ordered the Cuban sandwich with pork, ham, mustard, \u0026 pickle on fresh bread which has been toasted. I'm not a huge fan of mustard, but could tell you it would taste great if you like mustard.
