Love eating at this place not bad for fast food but drive thru people were horrible this morning. The speakers are bad you end up trying to understand what they are saying and if you let them know you can’t or don’t understand them they will yell back like it’s your problem not theirs. Never had problems at other fast foods drive thru places never going back until the staff speakers are corrected. 12/3/25 9 45am

Excellent service but the till was giving the workers some trouble. If corporate gets this, please check your tills! Otherwise food is amazing and the holly jolly sparkler is to die for! I love the refreshing taste paired with my monster burger and curly fries.

An exception, or a rebound?
To put it mildly over the years, this place has had an increasingly bad reputation. Using my own experiences, the service and the food get worse and worse. Service is typically the worst of all with maybe one or two staff running the restaurant they lack enthusiasm and genuinely do not care about the customer. They sound annoyed and upset at you through the speaker of the drive through. The drive through itself should probably be reworked and a new speaker installed as it cuts out constantly. Because of the poor service and the food always being of less than great.I have stopped going to this place on a regular basis.
However, today was one of those days where I was driving by and said you know what? I have not had Hardee's in a very long time, let's go check it out. So that's exactly what I did.The speaker box still cut in and out.The drive through still needs to be worked on and the parking lot needs to be cleaned.The building is in disrepair, and the first gentleman that went to take my order seemed not to care. I stated, I needed a minute and a short while later.I asked a question, a female voice rang across the speaker cutting in and out so it seems, as I caught only every other word. I eventually caught enough to realize what I was trying to order.
She told me that my total would be at the window. I drive to the window and there was Sue, the general manager, according to her name tag. She asked me if I like cheese? She was genuine and friendly, quite refreshing. The burger I had gotten was a grilled cheese, bacon burger, or something like that. It had 6 slices of cheese. It came out piping hot on. Sourdough toast. That was just a little too soft should have been more toasty, not sure that can be helped, wrapped in the wrapper catching the steam However, the burger had an excellent smoke flavor the cheese was delectable and sue's smile knowing that we bonded over cheese. What's phenomenal.
I can't say for certain that the Bismarck Hardee's is on the rebound. And frankly, it still needs a lot of work to get turned around. And it must be difficult to find staff that seems to be a problem most places, I would think it is more difficult at a fast food restaurant that pays probably next to nothing. Every once in a while, you will walk away with a pocket of excellence. Sue today that was you! You made what was a last minute decision, into something that I would come back and try Hardee's once again. I'm not expecting a miracle, and I'm not even expecting it to be phenomenal food.
Because well it's Hardee's and in Bismarck to say the least.
However, if you are fortunate enough to get there for breakfast, typically they're biscuits are the best fast food biscuits in the game.

So was today the exception or are they on the rebound?
I cannot say for sure you will have to go find out yourself.
I will attempt another visit.
And this visit shall not be five years apart this time.

I just spent $19 yesterday for a cheeseburger with curly fries and a drink, medium mind you, and three tiny chicken strips. And it was so unimpressive.

Well, tried giving them the benefit of the dout today. We came in at 6:15 a.m. I have just had a total knee replacement, my Husband pulled up to let me out at the door with my walker. One of the employees Dawn came out to yell at us that we can't park there. Omg for real she can't give us 2 minutes!! The entire time we (the ONLY) Customers were in there she stared at us so hateful. This Hardee's has no one at all inside or drive thru. This is definitely the worst Hardee's ever and whoever owns this location should see how horribly it is run. I also went to the restroom, the hateful woman even came in there! Instead of being rude and mean to customers, how about filling up the soap dispenser!

Arrived at the window after placing an online order for myself. Arrived right when the website said I should so the food would be ready. I was then told they never received the order. They said they would cancel/refund the order, and charged me again at the drive through to make my food. Already disappointed that it wasn’t quick like I needed that night, I later find out they never cancelled the order so I was charged twice. They need to stop taking online orders if the employees are too incompetent to use the system correctly.

I come here more than I care to admit. It's my usual breakfast spot for days when I need a little extra boost with busy work schedules.

I absolutely adore the workers here. We exchange brief conversations while in the drive thru, check up on each other, and give each other boosts to help get through the days. Love ya'll! Thank you for the privilege to be served by you.

Terrible customer service, got order wrong both times I went. Store itself is pretty run down, bathrooms are ridiculous... most of all though is the super unprofessional employees.
