We hosted our Christmas party at Huckleberry House for a group of 14 and had an amazing experience. The atmosphere, food, and service were all wonderful. Everything was delicious—from the Hasselhoff appetizer to the bread pudding dessert and everything in between. Highly recommend!

We had a reservation for brunch today for my birthday. I had reserved a dining table a few weeks ago (and confirmed an hour before arriving) but when we got there, we were told the only seating available was a high table. It took us awhile to get acknowledged after being seated. The bartender asked a woman to at least get us water but she just stood there. Finally he (the bartender) came over, apologized for our wait, and took our drink order. He ended up also taking our food order. We ordered the House Hash but were told they were out of steak so we chose the Hasselhoff dish. It was ok. The bartender provided excellent service to us. There were 3 other front staff there, besides him, so not sure why there was such a delay. We heard them apologizing to other people for making them wait as we were leaving. It didn’t turn out to be the celebratory brunch I had hoped.

Terriable the worst brunch experience of my life. Let's start with the service completely the most unprofessional server ever he does not belong in the hospitality business..The food took one hour from the time we ordered he only came to check on us one time in that hour. He had on street clothes that looked like rags. THIS PLACE ADERVTISES BRUNCH IT IS NOT BRUNCH! They gave us a menu like a regular breakfast I could have got this at any greasy spoon! The potatoes were undercooked nearly frozen, the coffee was stale worse than day old gas station coffee. The food was horrible stale no flavor and severely severely improperly cooked! The cook came out to use the restroom he smelled and looked kike he just crawled out of gutter. The bill for 4 adults was over 160.00! Spend your money somewhere else do not do not go to this horrible place!!!

My boyfriend and I had a fantastic lunch at Huckleberry House. We had flown in from DC for the weekend and Huckleberry House was on our itinerary. Gorgeous views of the Missouri River in a very unique setting. Thanks for the hospitality. Oct. 19, 2025
We were visiting from out of state. A little disappointed in our “brunch” food but great views and service was solid.

Had the ribeye for $33, small steak and a little hassleback potato. It was good but way overpriced for what it was. For $18 at the tumbleweed on Tuesday you get twice the ribeye steak and potato 🤷. Just because you give it a fancy name doesn't make it better.

Wish I could leave no stars. Terrible experience. Arrived at 1pm, and after waiting 10 minutes was finally told they’d be closing early for an event. There was no seating to wait, and one of us used a walker so clearly needed to be seated. The hostess ignored us, and wasn’t busy helping anyone else the entire time.

The service here was incredibly slow. When we asked why, the staff said it’s because they only have one waffle maker, which is shocking considering most of their menu revolves around waffles. If that’s the case, maybe rethink the menu or the kitchen setup.
To make matters worse, they enforce a two-hour dining limit, yet we spent nearly an hour of that time just waiting for our food. When the waffles finally arrived, they were subpar at best, definitely NOT WORTH THE WAIT.
It’s frustrating because places like this seem to get high ratings simply due to the lack of other options in North Dakota. But honestly, this restaurant wouldn’t last a day in cities like Chicago, New York, or Detroit, where food quality and service actually matter.
Poor service, mediocre food, so it really makes you wonder: what exactly are they selling here?

So come on down to a slice of beautiful scenery, exceptional service and very friendly staff. Food was great. Five star quality which is rare find in Bismarck. Might be less quantity but what it makes up for is the best damn everything you ever had. I usually don't rate anything 5 stars so this was beyond amazing.
Although I do recommend it as a date Hotspot or party gathering. It did feel like id I had a date she'd melt in my arms from everything.
I did however only had an appetizer and bread pudding but it was fantastic.
The veiws are great, best around setting of sun time.
The shocker to me the most part.
The water and the diet coke in glasses was so elegant and so beautiful and very amazing. I don't want any diet coke or water from anywhere ever again.
Think this place deserves a Gordon ramsay 5 star. Hope someday they get it.
P.S
If anyone can sneak the bread pudding recipe, lol...

Very pricey. Ordered a alcoholic drink for $13 which I thought was a bit steep and then when I received the drink I knew it was VERY steep considering the small size of the drink .Slow service ( think we just went at a rush and they were understaffed, can certainly understand). Food is really good though. Sat out on the patio and got to enjoy the weather and the river.

Huckleberry House recently catered an event I was working, and the food blew me away. They provided breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks throughout the days — despite the stripped back equipment and lack of a kitchen (we were on location in New Town, ND), they made some of the most creative and delicious dishes.
Shoutout the best pumpkin/pistachio scone in the world 🤤
These guys truly know how to make dining a real experience, and it was fun to watch the owners and chef in their element on such a small scale.
The first negative experience in Bismarck. Google says they’re open until 2pm for lunch. I showed up at 1:35… stood at the host stand looking for someone to help me and no one came to ask me if I needed help. I noticed a guy walking around and two women eating at the bar. Finally I walked towards the bar to see if the host was there and one of the women eating came to tell me the kitchen closed at 1:45pm because the restaurant closes at 2pm. Conveniently they left me waiting for 10 minutes and approached me when the kitchen allegedly closed at 1:45pm. Annoyed, disappointed and feeling racially profiled for my first time in North Dakota. Should’ve known better.

Get more staff! Whole floor was open and couldn’t get sat due to this. This has now happened a handful of occasions.
